Why the name Ranch Chimp? it was in humour because, science says that humans have similar DNA to a chimpanzee,so I felt some way related biologically to a chimpanzee. 2nd, everytime I was out of Texas on a vacation or for whatever reason I’m always asked things like, do I live on a ranch?,or have cattle? so I commonly call Dallas the Ranch. "Politically Depressed" was also humour inspired by the 1993- 2002 Bill Maher TV/ tele show "Politically Incorrect".

ALLEN DALE: "The Charleston", "Somebody Stole My Gal!", "There's A Tavern In Town" & "Oh Johnny Oh"
This posting/ induction into the "RCJ Music/ Art's Honour Roll Society" is another past due for this journal, but a must and about bloody time! ... to highlight and honour Mr. Allen Dale ... who also has a following on YouTube with well over 4 million view's as well ... this man is sensational on piano and a must listen. Other than that, I frankly cant tell you much of anything about this gentleman, except that I been following him for sometime on YouTube, and consider's himself a Ragtime genre man, and I absolutely love listening to him! He cover's so many cover's from classic popular rock- n-roll song's to country, blues/ soul, etc ... really quite a portfolio at that ... and so difficult to only choose 4 tune's ... to put it simple as I can ... he just plain kick's ass! But when I made this selection/ choice ... I wanted to highlight some classic's and go back as far as the Roaring 20's and Ragtime era (early 1900's) since I absolutely love the music of that time, it's upbeat and flow ... which had alot of influence on me as a young child as well. Thank You so much Allen for all the great music you give folk's ... and hoping for plenty more and the best of the best to you! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanx for your comment's too Tim ....
Not only is Allen a tremendously talented piano player, but he is always one of the sweetest and most wonderful people you'll ever meet. He even takes the time to answer his Youtube fan mail.
