Godfather's of Metal Black Sabbath open up about new album "13" ... Thanx to CNN
This Part 2 of "Black Sabbath" (Part One Here) will be to highlight the 2013 release of the album/cd "13" from the crew. A couple guitarist's (Tim & Dave) and I the other day were looking at this and discussing it as far as it's detail's ... and this we agree is just a classic piece of work ... Tim was joking around calling Ozzy the Mel Tillis of metal rock (referring to how Ozzy still cant talk, but can sing {: ) and Dave just impressed with that work put out by guitarist Tony Iommi despite his cancer treatment's and such. But when Ozzy sing's for his crew Ozzy, it's distinctively different in sound than when he does Sabbath as well. For myself what impressed me most and thrilled me, was this crew didnt try to change their style or look for another direction to take this new music ... they simply went to their root's and kept this as distinctive classic Sabbath in composition. I wanted in my heart to see them do such a piece of work, fearing that after 35 year's or so apart and with a drummer replacement, Ozzy's solo career stuff, etc ... that the new Sabbath would try to do something out of the ordinary, which I have no problemo with either, however, no one can replicate that original sound from over 40 year's ago as well as this crew line up together, anymore than Zeppelin can be Zeppelin without that certain chemistry of musician's ... so this for me was a real treat! And this album also seem's to be doing very well as far as the chart's are concerned. But GREAT piece of work guyz! ... Enjoy ....
