Rain gush hammers downtown Dallas **** this photo taken from approximately 7 miles west of downtown Dallas over the Trinity River

This posting will serve as Part 34 of the "Taste of Texas" series for this journal/ blog. I wanted to record this event of a summer storm we just had here in Dallas, that came the afternoon of last sunday 09 June 2019. Severe summertime storms and hail are very common here in Dallas, and at times, it can be a blessing from nature, due to the hot summers here too. But this was NOT the average thunderstorm, is why I wanted to record this in here. Even though summer isn't officially till the solstice of June 20th- 22nd ... summer in Dallas is all of June, July, and August. This storm was really a hard hitting storm though, as far as intensity, winds were 60 to 80 miles an hour, straight line winds, not a tornado or hurricane winds, just plain old thunderstorms ... I'll just call it a case of the summertime blues. But, this last sunday afternoon was absolutely drop dead gorgeous, probably about low 80's, sunny, nice little breeze, etc. I was out in the back patio/ yard with my neighbour, Bill ... Bill is a transplant here from South Bronx/ NYC ... we were out just chillin and having small chat, Bill's wife was out with friends, and my wife was at my daughter's apartment. All of the sudden ... the sky went dark, winds started to pick up, really heavy too ... the large tree on my patio area, which is about 2.5 to 3 stories tall, the large limbs started swaying side to side about 5 or 6'ft sway back and forth ... me and Bill just pause and look at each other with that "what the fuck?" look. I asked Bill if he heard any weather forecast?, he looks on his phone and sayz "there's a thunderstorm warning" ... I'm like, "Huuhh!?" ... I mean, it was gorgeous a few minutes prior, even the pool was full of little kids, etc, I mean, I haven't listened to the tele or was on the computer, so didn't hear anything. Next minute, here comes rain blowing sidewayz, and winds that had to be at least 60mph, and the temperature must have dropped at least 20 degrees in only 5 minutes or so ... time to take cover! We heard a deep loud sort of humming sound, then a very loud boom, like an explosion ... we just look at each other, wondering where it came from, we weren't sure, then all the power goes out, so we figured it must have been a transformer close by. My daughter, where my wife was at, said their power went out, she lives about 5 miles south of me in the Bluffview neighbourhood of North Dallas ... but everything with them was fine otherwise. Many businesses were down, and better have cash, because so were ATM's and card payment machines in businesses. I didn't realize yet how bad this storm was, till I got out around town ... I live on the very far edge of Northwest Dallas, across the street from me is North Dallas, and north a few blocks are the cities of Farmers Branch and Addison, probably about 12 miles from downtown.

After the storm passed through, which was only about a half hour, I decided to go over to the Lake Highlands area, just a tad east of White Rock Lake in East Dallas, because I was planning to go visit a friend over there before the storm came, anywayz. I couldn't get on LBJ Freeway by my house, because I heard on a portable radio I had, that the whole area of LBJ Frwy, North Central Expwy, and the Dallas North Tollway interchanges were at a complete halt, and that glass was blowing out of one of the bank building towers there too. So I went down Marsh Ln from my place and eastbound on Royal Ln, which is about 11 miles down Royal Ln, to get to Lake Highlands Dr area I needed. But all along Royal the full drive, which is some very nice affluent areas too, it was debris and massive tree destruction all over. Right before I got to North Central Expwy on Royal Ln, a large tree was even uprooted and went into an apartment building. Many people were out trying to tie ropes to trees to move them with several people pulling, working class folks working alongside wealthy folks. But so much debris for that 11 mile stretch, most traffic lights did not work, I heard that 400 to 500 traffic lights were out in Dallas, on the radio, and that over 350,000 people without power. Just east of North Central Expwy on Royal Ln, past Greenville Av ... the large golf course was partially flooded in the low areas, and the forest of large trees all around, half of the trees were split and large limbs scattered the landscape, pieces of roofs, signs, billboards, etc. I heard, that even one of the new towers under construction in downtown (approximately 45 stories) had the glass panels of the building even blowing off of it, and a crane fell into one complex off downtown in Old East Dallas, and power lines down all over the place. Many homes had trees that fell on them, Dallas is saturated with large trees and forest areas ... so yeah, there was quite a bit of damage, just from this one short storm. Power outages varied across the city ... in Lake Highlands at my friend's place, it was out an hour, other places in the same part of town were out dayz. My daughters place in Bluffview for maybe a half day ... she got lucky because her building is new, she was like first to move in, and the buildings surrounding her are all still under construction, lots of construction equipment and scaffolds, like the Old East Dallas area below where the crane fell. My place in Northwest Dallas, was without power for 4 dayz, and we are just getting power to all of Dallas as of today, friday. Much credit to those crews locally and from out of state, that worked around the clock 24/ 7, to restore power to Dallas ... looking at the mess, I knew it would take some time. Some video and read below ... Word Out ....

ELIZABETH WARREN | FORT WAYNE, INDIANA 2019: Yes You CAN !! ... When You Have a PLAN !! ... The "Unheard American" Edition ... (ELIZABETH WARREN PT.21)- (AMERICAN JOBS PT.13)

Image result for elizabeth warren fort wayne in town hall

This posting will be for the "Elizabeth Warren" and "American Jobs" series of this journal/ blog. This is a town hall meeting with Senator Elizabeth Warren and folks in Fort Wayne, IN, covered by Chris Hayes and MSNBC. You have 4 videos here, that is approximately 50 minutes combined, and well worth the listen. I rearranged the order of the videos, because I felt it was importante first to hear out the local working folks, sitting down one on one with Elizabeth, and her directly addressing their concerns, face to face. For me, there is nothing like a good one on one when communicating with folks, especially when running for office. This is just as importante as speaking to large crowds, it's more intimate and personal ... and you get to hear first hand, the voters concerns. I myself like person to person communications, I can write on this blog till I'm blue in the face, and try to be as personal and intimate as possible ... but for me, nothing beats, or is as good, as meeting with folks on the street, house, or venue, and talking face to face, eye to eye. There are too many average people that do not get heard and felt, so it's so importante going to those places that are not in the spotlight daily, and talking to those folks, especially in the smaller cities and towns, where word travels faster and more solid than big popular cities. After the videos, at the bottom, I wanted to add some to this too.

Regardless of all the talk you hear about how great jobs are or how low unemployment is, there is still alot to be done. All your large cities that have big business are of course going to have a good selection of jobs, especially towns with big finance, medical/ healthcare, hospitality and entertainment, techs, and manufacturing and service industries ... and yet still in those big towns, despite all the glitter and sparkle you see, there are even millions there, that are not even heard. When I look at some of the states that are considered as dying economically, lost, abandoned, rust belt, or whatever, even states that traditionally politicians have avoided for years and forgot ... and people that say, there is nothing there, or why go there? I see something completely different, when even looking at states economically challenged, such as Mississippi, New Mexico, Arkansas, Alabama, West Virginia, to name some, and I've been to them all ... and plenty of others, especially throughout the heartland. I see millions of hard working and ambitious folks that have good work ethics and values, looking for a chance to show what they have, and appreciation for their jobs that is unmatched, strong communities, and are good to folks that do right by them. I see millions of people that are hungry for opportunity, and willing to go that extra mile for it, and for a candidate that really puts in that extra mile for them ... they are solid and will stick by you, trust me. Unfortunately too many found that the current President, who many supported strongly, has not even done a fraction of what he said to improve things for them. And it's true, that a President, political party, or government alone can't do everything for you ... but government should be of people first ... like in business, the consumer/ customer should be first. I mean, I registered and started voting in 1974 (same day I signed up for my "Selective Service" draft card), but more for the country as a sort of duty, not as much myself, I feel it's one of the most importante rights and duty we have, and wish everyone voted ... no political party or President has had much, if any, impact on my life, left or right, everything I done and got was mainly on my own, and from my actions. I vote for my country, not for me. But having good leaders to motivate and inspire folks to get involved helps, not just going back to Washington and ignoring them.

When Senator Warren talks about "green jobs", she hits the nail on the head. When I look at all the states that I talked about above, I see a golden mile of opportunity waiting for these folks and our country, one that can stand out on a global scale, once in motion. There is so much to be gained even for business in all kinds of green/ renewable infrastructure, equipment, and products, these states can be in demand for their products and industries, with the right kind of leadership making the right kind of deals, and eventually maybe exporting product ...we have an opportunity to take a leading role. The great thing about Warren, in all the years I been following her, she has a plan for everything, she sits up at night, and figures out wayz to make things happen ... instead of talking like many ... about what "can't be done", what "can't work", or whatever ... her thing is finding a way it CAN be done. Don't take my word for it, look at how much she done as a Senator, look at her track record ... in some cases, she has done more for workers, veterans, and consumers, than a half dozen other Senators combined. Government investment, and tax partnership incentives for private investments in these states, is a win- win. You have moderate real estate and building costs, and moderate wages, a unique business friendly environment, millions of folks and many towns, hungry and ready at the drop of a hat, to welcome your industries, and millions of customers waiting for product. This country needs much infrastructure across the board, so there is plenty to invest in, and there is plenty of capital. As Frank was telling Elizabeth above, many folks don't have the skills and training needed in these towns ... this is where you start up "on the job training" opportunities, like trade schools. This way, the business gets to hire people at moderate wages, in turn the employee/ trainee gets to learn a new trade under qualified instructors and supervision, while still earning a paycheck ... combining a trade school and industry all in one, and focusing on green technologies manufacturing, services, sales and distribution ... with America's needs in mind first, then hopefully shooting for a global market for increased business in exports.

I seen a fella I know not long ago in Mesquite (a Dallas suburb), he has been a moderate republican his whole life, a mid- 50's HVAC contractor, he is also disappointed in the current President and administration. He said "Hey man, I just heard Elizabeth Warren yesterday in an interview" ... he only heard she was a socialist before I told him of her, I told him to just give her listen, if he gets a chance. He told me, he liked her so much, that he will vote for her ... he knew nothing about her before I brought her up to him, besides the socialist rubbish. He told me, that she was wanting to have a 2 cent tax on the dollar after so many million, and that the person interviewing her, asked if that would be asking too much of the rich, and the rich would think it's unfair. He said, he couldn't believe that someone would be so greedy with that many millions of dollars, to complain about a 2 cent wealth tax on a dollar, after so many millions ... I couldn't agree with him more, I told him ... that is the point we have got to in our country ... extreme, senseless greed. That's the point we are, when millions of folks like the guy I just mentioned, work their asses off, pay their taxes and do the right thing, and they have to listen to multi millionaires and billionaires, many who never done an honest dayz work in their lives, whimper and whine over such a little tax. As the guy told me also, that small tax, can do so much for other things we need in our country. That is the whole point I explain to folks like this guy ... many of these people, we not only give them a tax free ride and welfare, they spend much of our generosity in foreign country investment, and show no appreciation for all this country does for them. Then to top it off, we even subsidize their businesses and protect them ... they need cuts ... and like Elizabeth points out, we sure as Hell should not be subsidizing companies to export our jobs and business ... that is just absolute insanity, even from a pro- business perspective. She is not talking about taxing the rich to death, she is talking about having a small fair tax, that they should be willing to pay easily, for all we do to protect their business and keep it thriving, and they still have other tax breaks too ... that alone should be the basic price of balanced business.

**** Professor Peter Phillips- Sociology: Sonoma State University

This posting will be to highlight a one on one interview for Abby Martin's "Empire Files" with Sonoma University Professor of Sociology, Peter Phillips ... which is a good listen to hear him out. You can find Peter all over the internet too, he also was the former director of "Project Censored" ... really good website too. Peter is good at explaining this stuff in more easy to understand terms, simply because he presents it straight up, without all the bullshit. Although this is something that probably many folks ignore, or let's just say ... is not a popular topic, or more bland than entertaining ... it is good for our financial survival and game strategy to have a little better understanding of how the game worx. I myself find it interesting in a fun way too, just like when I'm watching a football game trying to figure out the more complex play strategies in the game, and what plan/ play to use next. The interview below is about what he has to say in a recent book of his, "Giants: The Global Power Elite". This posting will serve 3 series of this journal/ blog ... "Abby Martin", "Neoliberalism Crisis", and "Naomi Klein". First up, the video below with Pete and Abby ... then after, a very short video to explain something very importante, from Naomi Klein, for those who may wonder ... "how in Hell did we get here?", as far as the current state of neoiliberalism, the economy, jobs, etc. Although it may seem that what Peter and Naomi talks about, or even my part at the bottom may seem all different, it's not, it's all part of neoliberalism.

First up ... I use the word 'elite' in the title, only because that's a word many use to describe these with the most wealth, as Pete does in his book title ... but I actually loathe calling some of these parasites 'elite', because I respect the word, and use it to point out people that I actually see as elite. Example, one may look at President Trump as elite, due to his assets/ capital or whatever ... I sure as Hell don't see being elite as inheriting a shitload of wealth and using tax loopholes or other forms of receiving handouts and supported off of the general public's taxes and forced generosity as being elite ... "giants", yes ... "elite", no. Many of those that we call elite, I would bet could not survive a month tops, if they were put on the street with only the clothes on their back, and had to go out and make it like most working folks do. What Naomi talk's about above is importante to remember, when looking at how we got here. Back in the 1970's we had a stagnation problem (aka "stagflation"), and you had the higher unemployment, oil prices, and inflation ... and at the time, we were trying to figure out how to fix it. What happens, looking at the Nixon and Ford years? ... we bring in folks like Milton Friedman, who I credit so much of this neoliberalism model to, and WHERE we are today, I look at him as the architect. He had the answers ... at least for some, as far as building the economy and capital growth, even gave him the Nobel Prize in Economics in 76, and he was advising the Fed too, he was involved in so much, in the U.S. and foreign countries, very influential in economic policies across the board. But the idea that you can have a balanced, competitive, and free market for investors and consumers alike without input from all participating, including oversight from all participating, seems like a recipe for one economic problem after another.

Around the same period (70's), we had George H.W. Bush riding his bicycle around Beijing (CNN), at the time an unofficial ambassador, just hanging out, wheeling and dealing with the communist Chinese Government ... I bring this up since we all hear this whining/ whimpering about unfair trade out of China today ... I mean, who helped make China the power they are, and cut the deals, eh? ... don't blame China. All that happens is we get sucked in like a bunch of fish with all the bullshit bait we are fed, on how we are going to be great again, prosper beyond our dreams, etc ... alwayz getting sucked into believing something, by people that can't even get shit halfway right, or get their own house in order. That's why we can only face bubble/ bust recession after recession and many miseries that we do. We can just look at the last couple hundred years, because this model of today, has been being pushed in some form for that long, and we have alwayz had to change and revise the model according to the economic climate of here and the globe, which is alwayz changing. And we drastically lack input on what we need, many of our so called representation stopped representing the majority interests years ago ... so it's imperative that we hammer them hard throughout their service in office, and watch more closely who we are supporting and voting for, and importantly, why? The corruption alone today in Washington is so open ... these dayz lobbyists through our Congress, are handing out checks to our Congress, right before an importante vote (NY Times) ... we even have folks like Lynne Patton in government who just say, they don't care if they're breaking the law (MSN). And we have a President so criminally confident, who campaigned saying he could shoot some innocent person on 5th Ave in NYC, and still get votes (Guardian).

So, why has neoliberalism gained so much popularity, strength, and growth ... even among so many in Congress and governments across the globe? Because all it has created as far as generating capital and growth ... look at all the development that came out of it, expansion of global trade, manufacturing, business, and the millions of people that were brought out of dirt poverty because of it. It has also created an unprecedented amount of new millionaires globally. Today you have folks like Johan Norberg of the Cato Institute selling only the positive accomplishments of it ... some of those in the top wealth brackets, I believe are sincere, in thinking this model will eventually eliminate all poverty in time as it grows, I even feel some politicians see it like that too. But we know from history and human nature of greed and power, that this model cannot last long as is, without destroying itself, it's just that most investors today look for the short quick gain/ return, and so intoxicated, they're not looking at the bigger picture. This is why I was telling a guy not long back during some conversation, to try to ignore the written in stone ideology of neoliberalism, and simply look at it as an economic model, which come, go, and transform. I may think a little more optimistic than some on this ... because I think, even from talks that went on at Davos, that many in the top wealth realize that this is not a sure sustainable economic model, and will need alot of revisions, and is causing too much resistance and civil disobedience as this grows ... it can be bad for business, in other words. Keynesian economics don't work? ... neither will one way neoliberalism work today without modifications/ changes, something sure as Hell worked in the mid 20th century when manufacturing and prosperity were robust in U.S. ... for me, mixed economy is democracy and free market, not corporate communism.

On the other hand, despite the growth and positives folks like Johan may point out, and we all know what Charles Koch and associates Cato Institute is about too, if you don't, read up on it ... of course today, you have more philanthropic foundations than you can shake a stick at, bunch of control freak tax havens in my view, though. Look at wages in decline, look at automation and techs, and the investors profits, and reinvestment, and in what? Like Naomi points out, as well as Pete ... we will run into one roadblock after another too, because looking at our dependence on this growth, and the constant need to expand, also looking at environmental challenges we have, resources available, etc ... and looking at economic history, you cannot sustain perpetual growth and the system/ model. The capital is already where it is, so it's pointless to cry over spilt milk, or worry about all the tax cuts that Trump gave away ... we need drastic changes with input other than from the usual crowd, we have many that know how to improve the condition. There is no better time than now, to strengthen labour and unions, and get folks with progressive ideas in office, in all governments of the globe, which there will be an increase in support for from the public. Because, despite all the figures and charts on how much capital is doing great, markets, low unemployment, etc ... the bottom line, is that most are not experiencing this economic freedom and prosperity, they say there's no significant inflation, but tell that to working folks looking to buy a home, paying rent, or shopping in the store, when feeling the cost of living and how far their dollar goes (Investopedia). And the reality that majority of American's are experiencing, is of our growing imperialism over other countries through war or trade at our expense. And since we're all so called "free" to choose, our priority should be to choose to challenge this system and look out for our interests.

Word Out ....

ARTHUR'S MR. & MR. RATBURN: Burned in Alabama ... For the Love of Pete!!, on the HATRED for LOVE ... The "Learn over Burn" Edition ... (BATTLE OF THE DOLLS PT.15)- (SEXPLOITATION NATION PT.39)

Image result for arthur cartoon has gay marriage

This posting will serve 2 series of this journal/ blog ... "Battle of the Dolls" and "Sexploitation Nation". I wanted to just have this recorded in these series, because once again, it shows the hysteria over an animated cartoon in America ... this case being the "Arthur" kids tele series, and an episode that shows a gay wedding, which was also banned in Alabama. But what makes this unique to me, is after watching the clip myself, which was very short, there was NOTHING in it that was sexual, at all. Yet, the hysteria broke out immediately that this was all a conspiracy to try to indoctrinate children into homosexuality. It kind of reminds me of the old dayz, like back in the 1950's/ 1960's where some of the most historically iconic music artists of today, had their records burned, or when folks burn literature they don't agree with. I don't see it as wrong if you find homosexuality, sexual fetishism, or any sex as repulsive ... I myself tolerate things that I dislike and find repulsive, such as your religious institutions and self- manufactured rules and concepts of God in your own likes and image. I feel the Arthur episode was fine for little kids, I'm a father and grandfather, and very solid on family values and the rest like PTA ... when talking to the kids, grandkids, and neighbours, trying to give decent advice to carry in life, meeting with the teachers in school, etc ... I was even a kid myself at one time, so I have that experience as well, eh? This banned episode shows a couple guys/ males walking down an isle, and attendees supporting them ... it's about a showing of "love" over anything else, and people happy ... what in Hell is wrong with that? ... look at it for yourself. Some of the people that oppose this, at the same time, teach their children that they should not be tolerant of others that are different, people that are doing nothing wrong to them or their families. What is supposed to be the message to children? ... to hate love? There is plenty of hate around, a little love can't hurt nothing ... in fact, it may be good to teach kids this, besides all the other garbage we push on them. Who's really abusing your children? ... the very institutions and scum that many of y'all support, is who ... so what are they learning when you push intolerance and hate on them? Children are about the most abused and exploited segment of American society. While many self righteous parents are preaching good and evil, and complaining about two people in love (even animated characters) ... some of these same righteous parents are marrying multiple times, to the point where their own children don't even know who their biological parents are. Personally, I don't feel sorry for you bastards when your kids rebel against you later, I feel sorry for the children that you damaged their minds.

While some folks are teaching their traditional values to these kids, values of the parents, who were also indoctrinated by one institution or another, whether corporate, political, or religious ... and concerned over the kids possibly seeing a couple animated characters walking down an isle arm in arm, you are also supporting institutions and scum, some that rape and abuse your children on the other hand. We have children on a daily basis, that don't have decent healthcare, some none, spend an arm and a leg to get an education that teaches them in large part how to make money for someone other than themselves, clergy in the church targeting them to slave for them, or even having sex with your children. They are taught to respect that of which has no respect or regard for them, other than a commodity, and the goal in life, is to compete to appease the elders and their institutions, for their worthless approval, and telling your kids, what they should consider as success and accomplishment in life. You are quick to worry about a cartoon that you fear has a secret agenda to promote love or sex ... while many kids have to go to school and worry if they are going to get killed in a mass shooting. The tele news after the dayz end or start, has to show the kids everything from global warming disasters, to corrupt leadership, kids being murdered or sold, some by even their own parents, endless wars, endless politics, endless misery ... and the anchors tell it with a crocodile tear or a friendly smile. Many of these that oppose this simple cartoon, based on morality ... fully support a President, who was also on the news when you supported his campaign, saying that he is a celebrity, and just grabs women by the pussy, and disrespects women openly ... is this what your kids should look up to? A couple links below from CNN and some Twitter responses to this. Then a video from a popular YouTube guy, Anthony Brian Logan (aka "common sense conservative") with his views, along with a comment I left him on it. And at the bottom of the post, I wanted to close out with a couple videos, to sample what your kids have to see in the daily mainstream news, which is a tad worse than a couple fellas walking arm in arm. First is of our President speaking about his morality on the news. And the 2nd, of a Dallas transgender lady who was attacked on film outside her apartment in South Dallas ... her name is "Muhlaysia Booker", and one month after this attack, she was found shot dead on a Dallas street, and now can't testify against her assailant awaiting trial either (one arrested and out on bail for the assault). I included these videos, to sample what kind of stuff our kids have to see on a daily basis on the tele, and the real state of condition and reality in America.

Word Out ....

***** CNN: An episode of the kid's show 'Arthur' featuring a same- sex wedding won't air in Alabama ... (newsread/ video)

***** TVLine.com on Twitter: Arthur's Gay Wedding Episode Banned by Alabama Public Television ... (some responses)

Kid's Cartoon "Arthur" Features GAY Marriage! Indoctrination? ... Thanx to Anthony Brian Logan

**** My YouTube comment to Anthony Brian Logan: I totally disagree with you. I'm a male married to a female over 3 decades, a father and grandfather. This very short clip in this episode is very simple, and shows 2 males walking down the isle arm in arm, it does not promote homosexuality, or anything sexual in nature. In many cultures of the globe, present day and past, it's common for males to have a bond and love for each other, it's also common for men in various cultures to kiss, hold hands, dance together, be roommates, or hang together all the time ... none of these things promote homosexuality or anything sexual. Would you think we should keep tradition how African Americans were enslaved and still persecuted to this day in America, by the same people that are likely to be against this episode? This is simply pointing out to the child, basic tolerance and love over hatred and phobia, nothing else. But I agree with you that kids are innocent and find themselves on their own ... it is only adults, usually from various political or religious indoctrination, that can twist 2 males having a love for each other as being sexual in nature. So it's not the innocent nature of the kids, it's the erotic and neurotic nature of the adult mind that has issues and phobias, because of their adult twisted political and religious indoctrination ... which even the most fundamoralist puritan, such as yourself, should understand. It's quite obvious looking at your videos on your channel here, what cult you follow, embrace, and promote as well.

This posting is another local posting of justice being served here in Dallas, but it's an issue that applies to the U.S. and globe. It will be included in 3 series of this journal/ blog ... "Thinking of the Kids?", "Human Morality", and "Sexploitation Nation", which is a follow up on the last posting of these 3 series, concerning sexual abuse of children by adult clergy in the Catholic Church. First off, some opening video below of what went down the other day here in Dallas, and a link for some newsread, with links, audio and video below that from KERA. Below the link, another video which explains why Dallas Police decided to go with the search warrant over the subpoena route. At the bottom, I will add a bit of my own views to it all.

First up, credit to Dallas Police, and Maj.Max Geron of the Special Investigations Division on the way they are handling this so far ... and looking forward to Dallas County prosecutors getting some indictments out of these investigations, there is more than enough to come away with some indictments. As far as Bishop Ed Burns, no, the Dallas Diocese has not been straight up on this, they have had every opportunity to fully cooperate, and failed to do so time after time, and the "talk" with DPD has not been good enough, it has been one runaround after another. Then on top of it, you have more criminal wrongdoing, as far as hiding evidence and critical documentation directly connected to committing felony sex crimes on children. All of those as well, that DID NOT participate in the actual sexual assault acts/ crimes, but covered up evidence, should also be criminally charged with felony evidence tampering, altering, concealing, and falsification, as well as organized criminal conspiracy. Your criminal actions evidence against raping children is "privileged"? (referring to protected information) ... NO, again, I think y'all have everything assbackwards ... I don't know how they do things in Vatican City or Rome, but this is Dallas Texas/ US, and as far as our laws are concerned, criminal and civil law supersedes Canon Law in major organized criminal sexual assaults on children ... which is shameful, because these children are part of your own organization/ programme and the families of parishioners that financially support you too. No, I think the sudden and unannounced search warrant and raid approach to this was a great move over any subpoenas ... this subpoena junk is more stalling nonsense ... what, subpoena you to appear at such and such a date, so you have a heads up and time to rehearse more phony deposition/ testimonial, and public relations talk with your attorneys to hide and/ or alter, shred, or destroy critical evidence? ... I don't think so.

The majority of people in our country are frankly sick and bloody tired of this privileged crap to begin with, whether it be privileged politicians, church leaders, or the CEOs of the major corporations and banks ... the trinity (3) entities of control, that enslave us, even financially. Pope Francis and the Vatican recently announced new rules and guidelines (Washington Post), as far as reporting sexual abuse and other criminal activity within the staff/ clergy, and to police. This all is needed, but I don't believe these new rules were made to benefit parishioners and/ or sexual assault victims, as much as they were made to protect those who work in the church. What I mean is, they know that they been getting heat across the board, and various countries are going to increase criminally charging and challenging the institution, and the legal costs of such ... WITHOUT making these new rules, it would lead to way more criminal convictions, and tremendous legal expenses, criminal and civil, that would damn near bankrupt them. They know (Vatican legal defense team), that there would be a mass increase of criminal and civil cases, based solely on clergy that conspire and cover up things one way or another ... what they done basically and intentionally, was the same thing the President (Trump) done when he signed the new First Step/ Prison Reform Act (PD/ RCJ), which was NOT to stop mass incarceration, but to protect white collar criminals and their affiliate politicians, who have been getting investigated and indicted more recently ... these rules of the church are made to legally protect clergy and staff, more than protecting children that are being raped ... trust me. This is why it is so importante for especially parishioners, average citizens, local law enforcement jurisdictions to gang up on these types and start to take action on our own ... history shows, that they CANNOT police themselves, any more than corrupt politicians or corporations and banks can, they are all of the same cloth, and rest assured, it is NOT a holy cloth, or from a higher power.

Challenging these entities and folks that organize or individually commit crimes against the people, and are raping and exploiting our children and families in some way, whether clergy, politicians, or corporate/ banking upper management officers ... is NOT impossible, out of the question, too big to do anything, or the endless excuses that these types feed us, to prosecute and hold them responsible. My guess is that former priest Edmundo Paredes, since he's missing, is probably hiding in the Philippines ... he knows what to expect if he gets tried and found guilty here in Dallas County. Again, our thinking is assbackwards because of how they programme our societies and minds with their garbage ... the people are what makes everything work, they are the church, as much as the consumer is the lifeline to any bank or corporation, as the public voice/ citizens are the government in a representative democracy. The Dallas Diocese is of decent size too, and makes decent revenues, considering it has 69 parishes with a 1.2 million catholic membership. There is already precedent that we can have success in indicting and convicting these types ... Dallas County, in fact, has one of the earliest convictions on record in this. Back 2 decades ago, a Dallas County grand jury awarded $119 million to 10 victims, the victims settled for $30 million, after the diocese whined that it would bankrupt them ... but also Rudy Kos received life in prison, and not a country club resort, but actual Texas State Prison unit in Huntsville (WFAA) ... so these predators know what they are up against, if the people decide to take action. We have been too laid back and complacent with sloth in challenging this across the board ... if anything, even without getting any money in this, we should be doing this for the children that are the victims, and sending a clear message, that we won't take this. Prison time is importante, just removing these folks from their job in the church or sending them to golf course private rehabs at upscale resorts doesn't cut it ... they must feel consequences ... you won't change this culture otherwise, which my guess, has been going on for centuries.

Word Out ....

This entry into the music/ arts honour roll society of this journal/ blog, is another that is way past due, I been intending on getting in here for a few years ... the Melvins (wikipedia) out of Montesano,WA. This new lineup includes Jeff Pinkus from the Butthole Surfers out of San Antonio, playing an aluminum Flying V Bass in this set below, along with Steve McDonald on bass, Steve was also co- founder of Redd Kross down in LA. Steve and Jeff are excellent, so the duet bass work from 2 of their caliber in this six song set below is a work of art in itself! You also have Dale Crover, a well known outstanding drummer, who been with Buzz since the early dayz, they put out a ton of music over the years  ... and the distinct vocal work of Buzz Osborne, and deep unique guitar style he has, and as far as genius and creativity in the music and themes, he's just as unique too ... much credit to Buzz Osborne. The crew took off back in 1983, Buzz remained and held this project together, as membership changed here and there over the years ... and to me, the Melvins are a main ingredient in creating what became known as the Seattle sound of grunge and sludge style metal, very influential in that. Last year the band was celebrating their new album called "Pinkus Abortion Technician" (bandcamp), which Jeff co- wrote, and was inspired by the Butthole Surfers 1987 album called "Locust Abortion Technician", and George Stroumboulopoulos asked them to play at his home in Toronto for a private more intimate gig, and the sound was excellent! As for the set list on this it's 1:56 Kicking Machine, 4:38 Stop Moving To Florida, 9:11 Don't Forget to Breathe, 16:13 Onions Make The Milk Taste Bad, 19:38 The Talking Horse, and 25:14 Evil New War God. I also included a video interview from last year with Buzz and Dale talking about roots, records, influences. Thanx to House Of Strombo/ George and the Melvins for this powerful and versatile 30 minute set, and all the Melvins contributed to music over the years ... Enjoy!

SCOTT GRIGGS | FOR DALLAS MAYOR 2019: Continuing Forward Progress for Community, Opportunity, Business, Arts/ Entertainment

Image result for scott griggs dallas    Image result for scott griggs dallas

**** Scott Griggs for Dallas Mayor

This posting will be an endorsement of this journal/ blog for Scott Griggs, running for Dallas Mayor, Scott is also born and raised in Dallas ... Mayor Mike Rawlings has finished his term limit, and we need a new Mayor. There are 9 candidates to choose from (KERA), I have spent time reviewing all I could on all of them in detail, and I ended up with my vote going to Scott. Early voting April 22- 30, general election May 4th, if we need a runoff election, which may be likely due to no front runner and number of candidates, that will be on June 8th. Scott has been on the Dallas City Council now for 8 years, representing Oak Cliff's District 1, so that also played a part in my choice, based on his track record, what he's done, what he voted against and for, proposed, and the action he took on various projects and issues, and he been strong on community needs and development across the board. Scott otherwise in the private sector is an "intellectual property attorney" ... which to me is a plus, especially when he called out the Amazon HQ2 scam, when Dallas made it on the short list. Scott also led the opposition on the Trinity Tollway Project (wikipedia), which we were first told that the new Horseshoe mix- master freeway project (wikipedia) in downtown, now completed, would not have worked without the tollway ... you can see now, that the Horseshoe mixer looks and works great, without the $1.5 billion tollway. Scott also was key in pushing the new mandatory sick leave pay requirement for Dallas workers which just passed yesterday in the City Council (The Texas Tribune), while State lawmakers in Austin been trying to ban mandatory sick leave statewide. It was also the amendment of Scott to put new restrictions on fracking in Dallas, a battle, but it passed in the vote of the City Council (Texas Observer).

Scott has also been very active in leading on the Fort Worth Avenue redevelopment in North Oak Cliff, without over gentrifying the community ("gentlefication" over "gentrification"), as well as bringing new business to the Bishop Arts District in North Oak Cliff in the same manner, and led the move for the free street car service to and from. Scott has also been a leader for ideas and funding for the restoration of museums, land, and expanding uses of Fair Park, a National Historic Landmark, that also generates 10's of millions in annual revenue during the 3 week State Fair of Texas. He has also been working on expanding the arts, which generates good revenues, and incentivizes more small investment and business growth, from Bishop Arts District to Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, Uptown, to Exposition Park, and has already a plan figured out on how to fund it with double the funds it has to work with now, which we know already from this investment, we make a 2 for 1 return on our investment. He's been working new ideas as well as far as mass transit, in particular to make bus lines more efficient within the city of Dallas, as well as rail/ trains into Dallas Lovefield Airport. I mean, since DFW International Airport has trains going into their terminal, why doesn't Lovefield in Central Dallas?, especially with the recent expansion of Lovefield. The closest rail line to Lovefield Airport terminal is at least a half mile away, either Burbank station or Lovefield/ Inwood station, then you have to get on a bus to the terminals, why doesn't it go directly to the terminal as at DFW Airport? More about Scott Griggs on his website at top of posting, and his plans. I selected a few videos below to hear him out. Good Luck Scott!

Warren's new bill would send CEOs to jail over data breaches ... Thanx to Fox Business

First up ... Congratulations to the NHL Dallas Stars victory over the Nashville Predators OT win last night here in Dallas in the Stanley Cup Playoffs first round series ... great game guyz! And now, down to business ... This posting will be Part 20 of the "Elizabeth Warren" series, and for humour, also be included in "The End Must Be Near" series of this journal/ blog. This posting is to take a peek at the "Corporate Executive Accountability Act" Senator Elizabeth Warren presented earlier this month, and an article she done in the Washington Post, which is a good read with some good links, I suggest The New Yorker piece here "Why Corrupt Bankers Avoid Jail", really a good read. Warren just does some great work for Americans, and considering her Senate job, while also pounding the campaign trail for her Presidential nomination run, and all the rest she is involved with, this woman is multi- tasking at its best! But I wanted to open above with the Fox Business video to show how Warren's bill is presented in mainstream media. I mean, FOX anchor Maria Bartiromo, along with Democratic U.S. Congressman Jeff Van Drew (NJ) thinx that this is a "radical idea" ... a perfect example of the point of insanity that we have reached in America. Although, Congressman Van Drew says there "can be some truth" to this ... "can", "some"? Van Drew calls himself a "compassionate capitalist", which has somewhat of a creative and cute political ring to it ... perhaps other politicians use that title too, eh? Below I wanted to start off with trial lawyers Mike and Farron to give their opinion after reading Warren's piece, I alwayz like to get Mike and Farron's views on related issues, because Mike and Farron both have dealt with many of these corporations and their legal crews in numerous cases they worked over the years. Another importante view HERE- PART 1 and HERE- PART 2 on this from Bill Black ... Bill is an attorney, academic, former bank regulator, author, his expertise is white- collar crime. Then the Washington Post piece by Warren below that, followed by another short video from Farron explaining in plain english the reality in this. At the bottom, I'll toss in some of my views in this.

Thomas Hudson Pickering/ Ranch Chimp

Just the opening video at the top of the posting with Maria and Jeff alone was amazing, making me laugh in disbelief at what they were saying. Maria saying herself, that jailing CEOs is a radical idea ... I mean like, God forbid that we would even entertain such a thought, eh? This is why I put this in "The End Must Be Near" series ... because you hear this nonsense all the time, that if/ when we enforce any kind of laws against these crimes, or try to hold any of these people at top accountable ... it's the end of capitalism, life, and the pursuit of happiness ... we will all end up eating in soup kitchens and living in the poor house/ homeless encampments, and be living under communism. We already have millions in the poorhouse, homeless, and eating the equivalent, while under corporate communism, and partly because of that reluctance to hold these people/ entities accountable ... which is pure stupidity not to. It is really a radical idea and promoting a radical culture, to where you just accept and allow the richest people to rob you blind or even kill you indirectly with no consequence, saying that's fine, let bygones be bygones, etc ... what's radical and insane is to submit to such abuse. And as far as the compassionately proud capitalist Congressman Van Drew, perhaps you will spread some of that love and compassion to some of the victims of these scams, robberies, and disasters (financially, health- wise, and environmentally) to your constituents in the district you represent who voted for you, it isn't like New Jersey's streets are paved with gold and opportunity either. And the talk that there "can be some truth", from Jeff? ... there "is" 100% truth to this any way you slice it, no "can" or "some" about it ... if you don't hold people accountable when they screw our consumers, workforce, business and environment, it only worsens the condition, and is very bad for capitalism. And this is not an all out attack on capitalism, free market, and corporations, Mr. Congressman ... what?, people wanting to protect themselves from some of these that are equivalent to tyrants, thieves, and mass murderers? I'm shocked of this coming from him (Jeff) of all people, a man who got a 100% approval rating from the NRA for protecting gun owners rights and to self defense ... is this not people protecting themselves, interests, and rights? Of course this is, this just is fair protections for consumers and Americans against robbing them. I'm actually surprised some of this hasn't been challenged with the RICO Act, is some of this not organized crime and racketeering? ... you even have banks laundering money for international drug cartels and terror groups.

Others against Warren's bill are saying this bill will make it so the most minimal negligence will lead to CEOs being prosecuted ... example, if a lower level bank teller happens to skim or scam a few hundred bucks, the CEO will be blamed for it and indicted/ prosecuted on such, which will lead to parents, teachers, firefighters, pilots, and anyone for anything to be charged for the actions or negligence of others. This kind of talk is taking it to such extreme, and nothing but the usual threats and scare tactics from these types that rant how radical it is to hold irresponsible people accountable. And sadly, even when some of these have to pay fines, as Mike and Farron point out above ... they pay a part of it, and of that part, they write off the largest portion on taxes, actually double dipping on the tax payers subsidizing them for their mistakes, crimes, or negligence ... I suggest y'all should take your own advice as far as responsibility by pulling yourselves up by the bootstraps, eh? ... instead of acting more like helpless people needing welfare and socialism as you do. I was shocked how little BP actually paid out of pocket on their fine for the Gulf oil spill, most of it was paid by tax payers, while the average consumer, taxpayer, homeowner, student, are getting nickel and dimed to death. In fact, there are so many laws already in place that equally cover everyone top to bottom, just a lack of prosecuting them at the top, with alwayz the same excuse, saying there is not enough evidence, even from top people in places like the Justice Department, and when you do get evidence required, they even require more, it's endless. Getting a President and administration change, and one that has the courage to stand up to this, like an Elizabeth Warren type, could change things in a heartbeat, and those that can't do their jobs, would be fired/ replaced by such a President ... which has gotten so bad as it is, with the revolving door between these corporate entities, banks, and Washington. In my view, this should also strongly apply to politicians who intentionally make legislation that encourages speculative investments that are proven to be too risky. What about those politicians that gave the green light to go hog wild that created the housing bubble crisis? ... did the actions and legislation of politicians both of the left and right not contribute to that crisis and others? Let's face it, Washington in large part from legislation to elections has been bought and paid for, and at historically record levels in America, to where the people suspect everything to be corrupt. Even the politicians and billionaires are admitting it now, only because they know that a majority of people already made them, and if they don't halfway own up, it would increase civil disobedience and disruption of their individual empires ... meaning $$$$$$.

If the captain of an oil tanker is negligent by sleeping on the job, drunk/ high, or trying to cut corners to get that bonus, crashes, causing an environmental disaster, or the motorman of a train, the driver of 18- wheeler hazardous chemicals truck, a school bus driver that crashes killing kids, etc, etc ... what happens? In any of those incidents, those that were in charge of those operations are alwayz investigated, indicted by a jury/ state, and held accountable, and prison time is common. If some street level drug dealer mixes a bad cut and batch of dope he/ she slings on the street, knowing of the risk, but trying to beef up the intensity of the high/ product to boost profits, and say 50 people/ addicts that are considered as lower elements of society were to die of it, they would probably be all over the news, to the cover of Time Magazine and serving a life term in prison. We have people that are CEOs that there is evidence that they intentionally, knowingly, and willingly on their own, engineer well calculated plans and products, that they know damn well will hurt people, and some know that there is a chance that people may die from it, but are again, willing to take that risk. And what do they do when they get caught? ... they fire and blame it on all the low level employees that they told to do it as a job requirement. What makes them any different as far as being served with equal justice under law, as the others received that I mentioned above? Not doing anything about it, just makes them do more of it, the fines are almost meaningless ... if you're a bank CEO, and maybe one of the largest shareholders in it, scam a billion bucks, get a fine of $100 million ... you just made $900 million, and took a slight drop in stock value at most, what incentive do you have to not do it again, even at another bank or company? This is not talking about putting CEOs in these state prisons with hard labour in the fields like Texas or whatever ... they go to a much softer prison, like federal. Doing some years in prison (in most cases/ convictions, not many years), and for really some big time crime, some that even is responsible for thousands dying from a product or decision, folks committing suicide, to people who died because they were denied health coverage, or lost everything they owned and worked for ... is the most acceptable thing, anyone else that committed such crimes certainly would do some time, for even much lesser crimes. This is also good for business and these institutions, because it helps promote more careful responsible managing, which leads to better business, and lessens negative publicity for shareholders, leading to better products and services.

Millions across America have been waiting for this report for months, it has been on every mainstream media for months ... and FINALLY, IT'S HERE! I was so excited waiting in anticipation myself up to the last minute, when they announced it with an hour delay, I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, take a shit, or wind my watch. And Congratulations to President Trump & President Putin ... I think this calls for a little celebration, it looks like you boyz got an early start above ... and I must say, you look really cute together, wish I was there to join in with y'all! But, I don't want to waste any more time here ... for the reader, I simplified the report by reviewing it myself ... and selected the most importante pages for y'all below to see for yourselves. Dallas DA reveals plan for ending mass incarceration for petty crimes, slashing probation and bail ... Thanx to The Dallas Morning News

First up ... Congratulations to District Attorney John Creuzot on his new position as Dallas County DA ... a little briefing from John above for an opening video. This posting will be for 4 series of this journal/ blog ... "Incarcerated American", Poverty & Despair", "Aggressive Progressive", and "Public Patriots". On January 01, 2019 at 12:01am, John became DA of Dallas County, at 11am that same day, John sworn in 272 Dallas County Prosecutors, and fired at least a dozen others. In the 3 months as DA, John already dismissed over 1000 cases, releasing them from custody and prosecution at the stroke of his pen after personally reviewing each individual case ... and many more on the way. The changes are much broader than the recent reforms to Harris County (Houston) as far as reform of mass incarceration, and on a national level, broader than those in the tops coming in Austin, TX and Washington, DC. John has had this vision and work he's done for years actually, and is known on a national level for his ideas and implementation of alternative sentencing and programmes for low risk offenders while on the bench as judge in Dallas. He served for years in Dallas as a criminal defense lawyer, felony district court judge, Asst DA of Dallas County, and Chief Felony Prosecutor. There has been much opposition to some of this, even from Governor Greg Abbott ... but mainly from police and from some small business owners, but not on the marijuana/ drug reform, but the theft part ... so in fairness, I added some video below from law enforcement associations too. Some say that John should sit down with leaders and law enforcement to talk this over ... but, John has tried, and been pushing reform for years, they have declined to sit with John or propose any solutions as of yet ... so let's be straight about who is willing to sit down with who, eh? John is a workaholic, he knows the game well, and is not one that fiddle faddles and procrastinates for years, or cares to be complicit on this ... if you refuse to sit down or try to make past due reforms, while these same people constantly talk reform, especially in campaign talk ... John will take action, being in a position now to where he can. I mean, John's doing something ... what in Hell are y'all doing?, except feeding us the same old outdated garbage over and over ... year after year. Some read below with a PDF from the new DA, and some video ... at the bottom, I will add some of my views in this.

Of course there are some problems in the theft part of this reform, as officers point out above. The difference here though, is with this new line up and programme for prosecutors, each case will be looked at individually, not a one size fits all. Yes, a "booster" is those who do higher scale shoplifting rather than a few low budget items, they are unlikely to hit small places, unless it's some jewelry place or really valued items, plus those small places don't have enough customer traffic to leave the booster go unnoticed, or wayz to get the goods out. You have those who know how to work it, they know to stay at $700 "misdemeanor charge" limit per score at their choice of retailer, to not exceed the $750 cap, and if they're smart have a lawyer retained to make bond right after arraignment with one phone call if arrested, charged, and detained. They typically are well calculated types that case the store first, familiar with all security, they move fast and on a clock, and very organized. If a good score, they may hit the place several times within 2 weeks ... after that, will avoid going back, because of the amount of loss is noticed as substantial, and the store will beef up and change security. They usually hit your large retailers, and in the better neighbourhoods, they dress better and play the unnoticed customer part well, know where all surveillance cameras are, etc. They go after pricey items and less bulk ... they will work a 6 hour or so day maybe, and hit multiple places that they already hand picked, and usually score about maybe $3000/ $4000+ combined total or so of retail price in that day, they either have a fence to get rid of it online or elsewhere, or in other small retailers who buy the goods, or they get more if they turn it themselves. You're looking at getting about 25 to 50 points on the dollar depending on how you get rid of it, so for $4000K worth of goods as example, you can get say $1000 to maybe $1500+ cash or more for that day's lot/ score. In a big metro like Dallas- Fort Worth, you have several counties and cities to work in that day, to baffle law agencies on connecting the dots. Some will pay others to return the goods for a small fee to the store or another chain location they boosted it from, same day or next, before it's recorded as inventory loss, and the store then gives those refunders gift cards (since they have no receipt) for full amount, those cards are then sold usually for 50 pts on a buck average ... each individual that is good has their own method to get rid of items. Some prefer to leave least paper/ traceable trail when they do with least hand changing interaction, some get personal checks or cash from a fence, cash those at indie check cashing joints for a 1% fee, take that cash and put it on prepaid debit cards, or use it as cash. Most boosters work large retailers, some even have lists of what they get that are special request orders by fences ... retailers may cover losses from theft by tax deductions, insurance, and raising prices in the store.

Small retailers are at a disadvantage as far as covering losses, and many of them don't carry in mass what professional boosters target, so, they get hit by more low level shoplifters, that are just selling on the corner to individuals for quick cash, dope or dope money ... or as John points out, they are not greedy, but just needy for basic essential items that's needed to live/ eat, or keep up basic hygiene. Small businesses feel the pinch on those small scores, much more than a huge retailer store taking a $700 loss. So that is what needs to be ironed out, and this DA knows this well, it's not like he will allow folks to boost everything they can with no penalties. Also as the officer above points out, it hurts folks in those lower income communities that have to depend on small stores to shop, places like South Central Dallas, Oak Cliff, Pleasant Grove, West Dallas, etc, do not have many big stores if any, many folks don't have vehicles, ride the buses/ trains and on foot, they depend on the small stores, and that is all they have otherwise, and many of those communities are like food deserts too. I mean like, poorer areas have lack of investors wanting to open business, not unless gentrification moves in, and that displaces all who are native to the area when that happens, it just moves the poor, but doesn't solve the problem ... or do large retailers want to set up shop/ store in some of them areas, because of poverty, despair, and crime stats. Also as the officer points out ... it is indeed a charge escalation on the shoplifter, if there is any physical altercation during a small shoplifting incident, if the clerk/ owner decides to try to stop the person stealing, if that shoplifter resists at all or attempts to fight, it automatically falls into the robbery category, and goes to felony status immediately ... if the shoplifter even pulls a knife out of their pocket just for show of defense or threat, it becomes aggravated felony because of brandishing a weapon, so it's a little deeper than it may look on surface, and some shoplifters can get shot and killed legally by Texas law then. If the small store clerk/ owner decides to let the shoplifter leave out with the goods, and call DPD with a description of shoplifter, the cops may not show up for an hour or more, nothing nonviolent gets priority call, there are too many serious crimes going on, that may involve a shooting, hold- up or whatever. Also DPD is short hundreds of officers since hundreds left the department, because an investment firm that handled and managed their retirement, lost a bunch of their money in bad investments, draining cops and firefighters retirement accounts (WFAA/ ABC) ... an old familiar tune in America, eh? Many officers went to work for other metroplex cities/ suburbs, that are less dangerous and demanding, pay better and good benefits.

As far as other charges that will be dismissed or declined for prosecution, so many are way past due, especially on the marijuana laws, and most DPD won't even waste their time with low level pot cases to begin with. With all the marijuana business and use in Texas, this place should have decriminalized it long ago, Texas is and has been one of the most saturated states of pot for decades. The law concerning lab results to charge, or when they issue citations or even arrest a person for residue build up in straights (crack pipes) or bolos (meth pipes) is also ridiculous, you are wasting jail space for inmates that pose no threat to our communities, the downtown Dallas County Jail is alwayz maxed at over 7,100 inmates. The same as busting someone for a $10 rock (crack rock), this just wastes tax money big time, and officers time on answering critical calls, and solves not a bloody damn thing. The only ones who want these busts and citations are bail bond joints, local companies getting free labour off low nonviolent offenders incarcerated, bundle case low level attorneys, that bundle a half dozen or more cases in a hearing for plea bargain deal (no work, quick money), private detention/ prison investors, contractors selling overpriced phone service to inmates and their families, or contractors selling overpriced commissaries/ products to inmates, etc ... it's all a big money making scam, and they all want and lobby for recidivism regardless of their public relations or political campaign talk, not to rehabilitate, so to keep milking taxes, families/ inmates, and agencies. These people do not care about our communities and families, or do anything that really helps in any way. The homeless problem is even worse than they say in figures, but it is a somewhat ball park figure for the mainstream. There are thousands upon thousands today that are NOT even counted in the homeless population census/ surveys. These are people that live in squats, abandoned commercial or residential places, some in places where the owner/ renter in compassion will let them set up tents stay in basements, attics, garages, empty former warehouse areas, or other places in your poorer areas. Some of these also serve as shooting galleries for drug addicts to run dope (IV/ needle), or smoke dope like meth, heroin, crack, because they have nowhere else to go and safely do it. It would cost less for taxpayers in Texas and the country, and improve the sanitation, appearance, and safety in cities, if you just had designated safe stay areas for drug addicts and homeless, that caters strictly to that segment of population. And since the homeless govern their own communities already in underground America and keep community order by kicking out those who cause trouble or harm. They do this in the most awful conditions as is, they would add their own security and rules for those residing in the areas, and needed work for improvement as they already do ... yes, they even like to keep their communities safe and somewhat organized too.

Even your most so called liberal cities in America, have not attempted to even take on this issue in a realistic way ... instead, just asking donations from the private sector to help, and most of that goes to overhead costs, and tax havens cloaked in the term "philanthropic foundation". I mean, can we not do something for ourselves for a change with our own tax revenues, without some corporation, bank, multi millionaire/ billionaire, or foreign country lobby telling us what we can or cannot do? Or they kick the homeless out of one area, and the homeless just go find another area, it becomes an endless cycle. Some cities even give them free one way bus tickets to any other city they want, just to send the problem to another city. They have these people lining the streets in tents and under freewayz or wherever, close to places like business/ financial, shopping, and premium/ luxury rent districts, when they could build areas and shelter for them. It saves tax money, it improves the social climate, appearance, and entertainment and shopping atmosphere in big cities. The criminalization alone in this country of poverty, while expanding it through neoliberal policies, does nothing but promote more of the same and worsen the conditions. And not just for the homeless and poor people in these dire conditions, but even all the middle and upper income people/ consumers, property and business owners, who spend most in taxes and personal spending that keep a large portion of our economies flourishing ... if anything, at least do it for them. The money spent to fix this is actually savings from what it's costing us across the board now ... not acting or helping is not being frugal or fiscally wise, it's being just cheap, stupid, and promoting a culture/ fad of extreme greed. The answers to so many problems in a country of so much wealth are all right in front of us, been for years, and most ordinary people see it and want things done better. When you give these folks in poverty and dire despair an area of their own with modest amenities, it also restores a certain amount of dignity, hope, and motivates those to contribute a little something to the overall good of society and to have respect for what they were given ... ignoring them and persecuting them only breeds more of the same. Whether it is the homeless problem, drug addiction problem, human trafficking/ sex trade problems or other issues, all can be solved very easily, and no one has to sacrifice everything or most tax revenues, nor go into poverty to fix it ... it would also be economically smart, just as food stamps are, because they generate business in our communities, our taxes just don't end up in some foreign offshore tax haven accounts, as they do with many of the wealthy and corporations that we subsidize with almost unlimited welfare, even after they are at historic all time record levels of profit and wealth.
