***** WELCOME TO THE ASYLUM:: THE OFFICIAL SITE OF EMILIE AUTUMN




This entry into the music/ arts honour roll society of this journal will be to honour and sample some of the work of Emilie Autumn out of the Malibu/ LA area, who is a favourite as far as her violin work too. But there is a Hell of alot more to Emilie besides violin ... she is an actor and worked in film, a poet, author, producer, composer and a really top notch vocalist with an operatic type range and style, but can cross into just about anything as far as genre ... put it this way ... if she would have been commercialized or corporatized she would be in the rank's of say Lady Gaga or someone like Katy Perry, she is more than just the frosting on the cake ... she is more like the sprinkle treats and decoration's on the frosting!

Emilie has had some classical background as far as training, but wasnt much on the formal education thing, being she gave up on school at around age 10, and was self taught much of the way, even while at a university and study with several teacher's, she also could not get along with maybe what they tried to pigeonhole her into as far as being a classical musician ... she is the kind of person that more or less know's what she want's to do and demand's it from what I gather. She even walked away from a producer in the past, that wanted to rearrange everything of her's, deciding just "fuck it", and starting her own independent label. She has quite a following too after nearly 2 decades in the business and also worked making music with Courtney Love and OTEP, she has 3 studio and 2 instrumental album's as well.

As far a genre ... she consider's herself as Victoriandustrial, she is hand's on all the way, musically influenced by opera, classical, jazz and had a thing for theatrics, plays, novels, history, and the Victorian era. Because of personal issues that landed her in an asylum for mental health, has also played a part in the storyline behind much of the music too, and she point's out some of this in her self published book "The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls" ... which also led her to be an activist as well for mental health care reform because of her experiences. Even though Emilie has quite a reputation on her show as far as drama or theatrics and driving the audience, I am blown away by her musical abilities and voice, and love her style. A few other's as far as this strings instrument category in this journal would be "Black Violin", "Jennifer Lynn", "Johnny Arco", "Charlie Daniels" and "Ruby Jane". But sticking to her roots and being her own boss has made it so her art hasnt got too contaminated and rearranged or destroyed, and it keep's it's authentic personal touch. I also wanted to include Emilie in the "Beautiful Girlz" series because of her beautiful fashion type icon beauty and enormous talents. This posting will serve the "Political Corruption & Ethics" & "Dead Broke Hill" series of this journal, to take a look at some of the work of those we pay decent salaries and lifelong benefit's to, to represent us ... and in this case, the costing of the frosting we have on the cake, for the soon to resign designer Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock. Washington is alwayz telling us how broke they and we are, how we need to pay and sacrifice more and more, even turn over our social security and life savings to them and Wall St,, make cuts to public services, education, veterans, elderly, etc ... or were all doomed. And when these so called strong leaders get their panties in a bind with petty fights on the job, they act like little spoiled brat's and walk out off the job with pay, and tell us they will abandon us, the job or whatever ... I would say ... just go, get the Hell out and dont let me see your ass again ... I dont care, walk out, close down, whatever ... there are plenty of folks that can and will do the job. This shouldnt shock anyone about this guy Schock, but bring more light and awareness about how some of the culture in politics is ... and to never get into a mindset like some thinking that this is acceptable and should be the norm. This man is more concerned with representing himself than the people, or even his constituent's as he claim's for that matter, this man represent's nothing but himself, and dont belong in a position to lead or represent a damn thing. This is/ was a man considered by many in his party (Republican) as an upcoming superstar type for the party as well. Now after these investigations and such ... they're all acting as if he doesnt exist, or they want him to, yet no one talked to this young man before hand in their party and told him how his lifestyle looks in a public office? Which show's even more how out of touch Washington is with America.

I am not so much disturbed with his office decor, as a matter of fact, I thought it was impressive, but NOT as a Congressional member's office, I dont see it as a reflection of the job/ workplace at all, some say it is like a scene set of some popular UK tele series called "Downton Abbey", or the office decor of former First Lady Nancy Reagan ... to me it look's like what I would expect in the outer offices and waiting area of a more upscale satanic ritual chamber, but not a representatives office of the people. Schock's lavish and pop- culture vulture saturated lifestyle dont even reflect his needed qualities to represent American's. This is a man representing Peoria (IL) for example ... world headquarters of Caterpillar, Inc. ... the hard working blue collar backbone of America ... if you been to Peoria, you know what kind of town it is.

Schock had an impressive resume and childhood as a student and working hard as young as his early teens, hustling, investing and even setting up his own private retirement at 14 years old and invested in the stock markets, top's in school, ahead in his grades, a real leader, worked in rural farming as a kid, even being later the youngest school board member at 19 years old, and very cost conservative on spending. So what the Hell happened? ... I dont consider his spending spree's and lifestyle as even reflecting what he valued, and especially if he paid $74,000 for a new Chevy Tahoe, I dont see that as conservative or even smart dealing/ haggling, or the $5,000 podium of his. It is obvious though that he used his skills to nickel and dime tax- payers out of extra gas mileage reimbursement and other expenses. So it's okay by his so called values I guess (as his dad talks about his son's great all American values) to just recklessly spend the peoples money on his personal needs instead of what they intend the money for, eh?

This guy seem's to fly around with plenty of other's in their private aircraft's including the President (Obama) who also spoke highly of him, lives better than most in his salary range, related occupation and community where he sayz he likes to at least spend a day of two once a week. Considering all the vacation time off of Congress and miscellaneous walk- outs over bitch fights and the rest, I have to wonder how he gets any damn thing done on the job, or exactly what does he do addressing some of the serious issues. He said that he is a representative of the economy and focuses mostly on that, especially for the young people, and not a social issues kind of guy, which is great, the economy is very importante for those ... however, what's up with this money spending? ... why is he so gung- ho on bucking against fair/ equal rights for LGBT (gay/ lesbian) citizen's? or rights for those who are victims of hate crimes, against a woman's right to choose, etc?

Some say it's great that he just resigned, I am sure his party partly inspired that, if he is so up and up and hasnt nothing to hide or no fear and a real leader ... he wont walk, but fight till the finish, that there show's me his cowardly colours. He know's also damn well that his ethics/ morals are in question, he know's damn well what he is guilty of. Letting these people just walk away to please our political tastes is NOT good enough, thank goodness that the FBI and others are digging deep into this while politicians turn their eyes away and get on the current politipop gab about their candidacy shows to distract us. These people need to be hounded, hunted and held accountable for taking an oath to represent people ... that is our problemo ... you DONT let shit like this slide ... you set an example, and make solid what we expect out of those like him. If any of us can go to jail for such, so can he.

This posting will be to highlight and Thank Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray for his service to the Dallas Cowboys from 2011 to 2014. But the other reason for posting this as well is because this is big local sports news here in Dallas and Philadelphia, Eagles and Cowboys have been one of the NFL's hottest rivalries for decades and the NFC East division. Also because some fan's in Dallas got so bent out of shape over this, that some started burning Murray jerseys and criticizing Murray for leaving ... and in Philadelphia, fan's like this gal are thrilled and excited. But first some newsread and video below, then I want to add some after.

I myself was disappointed to see DeMarco leave as much as any other die- hard Cowboyz fan and teammates were ... I mean ... there are tough choices in this business too, and that's how it goes. DeMarco has proven to be one of the upcoming NFL great's as far as a running back, even though he has had a strong history in high school and college in Oklahoma, he has contributed so much in particular this last year as far as the Cowboyz winning the NFC East Championship and building that team spirit, and being the top rusher in the NFL. I also give alot of credit to the Dallas offensive line who helped him achieve his potential ... Murray worked extra hard this last season, since he was being played alot, some feared of injuries or wearing him down. But considering too, Murray coming into the Cowboyz back in 2011 as a 3rd string backup, he has came a long wayz in a short time.

DeMarco sayz that he see's potential in Philadelphia winning a SuperBowl and wanted to be a part of that ... and even though I am No#1 a Cowboyz fan ... I agree with him ... Philly is a Hell of a team, and only came in 2nd to Dallas last year in our division, they just had some real problem's pop up smack dab in their season that hurt them. DeMarco sayz it wasnt really about money, I have to take that as at least partial truth, because there were other team's even offering him more than Philly since he was up for grab's ... but the $42 million for 5 year's and $21 million guarantee made it also a sweet deal. But it's also obvious that QB Sam Bradford had alot to do with that decision also ... I mean, DeMarco and Sam were tight as roommates and teammates in college. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones couldnt match it? ... NO ... not at all ... in fact, in my opinion, if it wasnt for this salary cap deal, I feel DeMarco would still be in Dallas ... Jerry has no problemo spending, as a matter of fact, Jerry partly inspired the salary cap's in the NFL because of his spending, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {: ) ... (I wish spending cap's would happen in Washington DC as well, to stop these corporations and investment banker's from buying all our politician's campaign's {: ) Jerry and the Cowboyz had a tough decision to make as well ... we are limited on what we can spend, and you have to decide who get's cut and who stay's, and Dallas has a great crew across the board, this is the best Cowboyz team I seen since the dayz of Aikman, Smith and Irvin back in the 1990's!

Jerry and the Cowboys needed to make as tough as a decison as DeMarco, and in my opinion, DeMarco has to look out for his best interest and go with what's in his heart, and right now ... it's not running to the goal line, but to run to and with his OWN goal's ... and I wish him the best in his pursuit. Also understand ... DeMarco will have to adjust to this new system and the Philly offense been playing the fastest game plan in the league (one of the first thing's that stood out to me about Philly watching them closely last season), that new offensive line will have to adjust to him as well, and that will be a challenge to match Dallas' line on that end for them ... Dallas is tight and easily gave DeMarco what he needed and knew DeMarco well. DeMarco is at a good age too of 27, and need's to keep good protection, because that is also what many look at, is how he can hold up taking those hard hit's and punishment ... so he will have his challenges as well. DeMarco sayz he's ready to get to work ... that's all that count's ... Thank You and have a good one guy ... we will see you here in Dallas in a Eagles uniform this coming sesaon!

This posting for the music/ arts honour roll society of this journal will be a salute to honour The Who, out of London, who are also celebrating 50 years together as a crew and currently on tour. This crew of course has alot of music and are definitely the arena/ stadium sort of crew, they are top notch in album as well as singles classic rock as far as genre, a major influence to so many, Pete Townshend, a self taught multi- instrumentalist, is a Hell of a songwriter too, who get's much credit ... but as far as history I will let the links handle that. Overall the band just was really tight as far as live performance and sound, even though I havent seen them in at least 35 years or so. Pete has a unique guitar style and Roger a powerful vocalist, and everyone in the band can sing well with nice harmonies. What really caught my atencion seeing them live as well, was the bass guitar work of John Entwhistle (I was right up stage front) and the style of how he would roll on the bass, the smoothness of his playing, he would look so laid back not hardly moving while his fingers would lay out this intensive thunderous sound. Keith Moon is such a unique drummer and rated as the best of the best in that category with his style and intensity, but also I can imagine rang up a Hell of a bill in damages on his kit's and hotel room's which he had a thing for too.

I been wanting to have a posting on this crew in here for sometime, so I been sifting through alot of stuff on YouTube trying to find some of their early stuff to focus on their beginning's for this posting, looking through some of my favourites as a kid and song's that are well known, so I finally after reviewing so many, chose these below to highlight for this posting. And Thanx to this crew for all the great music and all those they influenced ... Enjoy!
