This posting will serve as Part 31 of the "Self Defense" series of this blog/ journal. I been wanting to do a posting on smart guns for awhile and just forgot about it, but it came up again just this last week as President Obama is pushing for smart guns legislation and development, so this is just as good a time for it I reckon. And of course as usual, President Obama is labeled as the villain that is wanting to take away everyone's guns ... I would guess the President is thrilled to retire at the end of this year, and probably counting the dayz just to get the Hell out of office, and I dont blame him, I would be too if I were him. This is sure as Hell raising alot of controversy too, it got so confusing with all the debates, proposals and fighting over this ... and as usual like most other issues in our country, it is just looking at either a left or right view ... I mean ... you have to look beyond left/ right thinking sometimes ... assess the condition, situation, etc, take the best idea's, that which worx, that which dont work ... and try to simplify, bottom line is that both these sides make some worthwhile points of atencion, and both make some as dumb as a doorknob. There is much more to this technology than just over these small .22 LR caliber handguns though, and also what some folks are missing on both these sides is where this new smart technology is going to take us as far as guns, rifles and ammo too, yet you dont hear much talk about that ... because there is more than just making safe guns here to consider and look at when it comes to adequate defense. There are also advantages for even private gun owners, the technology is what is importante here to get a hold of, and using it to develop further ... example being for domestic U.S. militia groups, self tailored arms and ammo like in the 1st video is a big plus, if we needed to defend ourselves here on our land. I am not saying that we should just go and have masses of folks in urban areas across the country armed and openly carrying AR- 15's, advanced rifles/ pistols, etc ... but I feel it is importante for our militia groups to be well armed. Below I added some links and video to look at what we have, then after I will have some input of my own, which is trying to look at it from a 3rd angle, instead of just left/ right ... good/ evil ... and the related politipop thinking, in other words, trying to use a little common sense, eh?

There are advantages and disadvantages to everything, but new technologies move us ahead, dont matter if it's a car, phone, tele/ tv, or guns/ weaponry, I remember when old school cops just liked revolvers, and never would want to carry a gun with a clip/ magazine, and those revolvers and rifles are classics. Gun technologies and every type of weaponry for that matter is changing, and much for the better as far as improved weaponry ... those who may oppose smart guns, may be wanting smart guns in the near future because of the technology. I dont blame the President at all on this one ... there is alot of public concern over guns getting into the wrong hands, this is even a big issue in these elections, people want something done about all the shootings and mass shootings, and the President, no matter who it is or left or right, will have to deal with this. Many of the proposals to me I see no problemo with, and think that there should be stricter background checks as far as sales, the laws are already there too. The smart gun thing as far as this Armatix iP1 (review), I dont see a thing wrong with if someone wants to buy one, to me it's kind of dumb to spend $1800 for a .22 pistol and wrist watch or smart phone to make it work, and all you have to go through just to get off a shot, but if someone wants to buy it, and it reduces accidental killing/ injuries in some way, why not? But I also agree with those majority of legitimate gun owners that want to keep the guns they have, and not be forced by new legislation to have to buy this technology ... I mean ... just let the market and demand work it out ... most people alwayz say they are all for free market and all the rest ... well then, let it go. I dont have any desire for the latest smart gun, phone, tele/TV, a car to auto drive itself and carry me around or whatever, I just basically think and do things myself, I dont even shop or bank online these dayz ... and wouldnt considering how vulnerable and dependent it makes you. When it comes to guns for instance, or even driving a car for that matter ... when you let just technology only do everything, it takes the fun out of it ... why in Hell would I want to do target practice on a range, and let technology make me hit right on target every time? heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-) ... how would you hone your own skills? ... where is the fun or challenge? However ... in say a combat/ war situation foreign or domestic, it would be awesome if you could hit a target/ enemy from 10 football fields away with not much experience, especially those who you would not likely have a chance to get anywhere close to them, perhaps because of the security detail around them protecting them, I mean ... you could take down some prime targets with this technology ... so I wouldnt be so quick to frown upon it, eh?

There is also ammo technology to be able to trace where the bullet came from and user/ owner etc ... they say it can solve crimes better ... I dont know, you have forensics, ballistics and DNA that do that anyway too. As far as making cops use these smart guns/ pistols ... I dont think it is safe for cops to use these under the current conditions they face. On the other hand you got cops that just kill too many innocent people today for no good reason, but that also needs to be tightened, and you dont do that by arming a cop with a gun that will almost put the cop in more danger in tight circumstances ... you do that by having more non- lethal weaponry, better training, and make stricter rules on when and why you can use lethal force ... not like it is now, where cops are basically told to shoot to kill for any damn reason, and dont worry, there will be no consequences, you get off with paid leave and the rest. The smart pistol thing is not any issue to me, just a new toy/ fad or whatever ... besides, it makes money too. But no, I dont see any reason for states like New Jersey once proposed, to force everyone to buy them. When Vice President Joe Biden and other politicians sayz to folks to use a shotgun (and a shotgun is a widely known home defense weapon as well), I would simply tell the Vice President and them to use a shotgun to defend themselves and familia ... it would save us a Hell of alot of money for all the Secret Service and all else we spend protecting politicians, eh? ... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-) I mean ... some politicians are so out of touch with the reality that people live in, its incredible how they get elected for decade after decade, term after term. But yeah ... these politicians should spend a month in some of the neighbourhoods where there is crime going on, and if they want to use a shotgun or a broom, baseball bat, knife or whatever ... be my guest, just dont tell us what we need to do to protect our families and communities, since most of ya'll dont know a thing about the reality out there. But the point is that people want you politicians to do something to curb the gun violence legislatively and enforce the rules that are already in place, and frankly get off your asses and do something besides just being celebrities, wasting our damn money and time, and being nothing more than candy ass corporate flunkies, with a Congress that spends 30 hours a week mandatory at phone banks in booths across the street from Capitol Hill, telemarketing/ panhandling for money (this is true, see the CBS 60 Minutes piece here) ... get the Hell to work and do your damn jobs for a change!

Also, since the military/ government is spending and investing our taxes for the newer technologies, this also means that for citizens to have the right to these smart rifles and ammo if they choose, such as your legitimate militia groups that want to be able to protect our country from enemies foreign and domestic ... I mean, dont tell us some shit like you want to stockpile all this weaponry and technology, and just tell us that we can protect ourselves and country, especially in these times with small caliber handguns or rifles, that you can shut down like our damn phones, cars or whatever else. The 2nd Amendment calls for well regulated militias (you can see throughout this series, I support and point out such as HERE and HERE, the importance in these times of militias),  plain and simple, this country was bred on violence and guns, and it promotes violence in many movies, video games and much else. Illegal arms are all over this country in the 10's of thousands being dealt, no matter what laws you make, and how many guns you take away from law abiding citizens, you will still have millions of guns able to circulate, that can be used for crimes. In these times especially, the rights of responsible gun groups is importante ... you have mass shooters running rampant, and more people now, because of this corporate and banking corrupted political system are having their liberties/ rights attacked on every level and our country being ripped off and sold out and borderline tyranny, on top of that, the threat of foreign and domestic terrorism which is inspired as well by much in government and what they do to people in our country as well as the thousands they kill in other countries. It would be nice if we had one of those countries that didnt have the guns and violence that this country has, inspires and was bred on, unfortunately this is not the U.S. we live in, you cant trust much of anything here and were on our own, we have our own unique situation that is way far out of whack, and disarming everybody will unfortunately do more damage than good in our country ... even some that serve in political positions here are corrupt to the core, and a threat to our people, progress, liberties and country ... and if push came to shove, it is our constitutional responsibility to take them on as well ... which means if needed, the same technologies and weaponry that they may use against us, and whatever is necessary to defend what is ours. It will take much time to solve the issue of guns and violence in this country, and I only am speaking of the reality in this country, not others ... this is not an easy issue here what were up against these dayz. Enough from me ....

This posting will serve as a Part 5 for the "American Trade" series, to take a look at the response in Europe to this TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), all part of these dime a dozen trade deals that they been working on for years, that they have been trying to rush through now since they had the opportunity to buy up a bunch of politicians globally to put it on the fast track. But it was funny watching the response such as in Hannover, Germany when President Obama showed up to take his shot at peddling it alongside Chancellor Merkel, while thousands took to the streets to protest. I voted for President Obama for both his terms, although I disagree with several moves he has made when it comes to trade, offshore drilling, and doing little to nothing about this behemoth banking, a few issues where he been a disappointment in my view ... otherwise I think the President done a pretty good job considering he came in office during a recession, had more issues to deal with than most Presidents, and received so much congressional obstruction, despite trying to be fair to them and bipartisan. I shouldnt laugh I know, but listening to the desperation of these folks that peddle these bunk trade packages reminds me of other lower level folks that peddle lousy deals, or try to sell lemon cars, or peddle junk deals to you over the phone/ online heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-) But folks all over in Europe dont like what they can see so far ... plain and simple, and these lousy sales pitches dont make it any better, especially when you are selling any product that is kept in secret from the customer/ consumer, where only corporations and banks and their lawyers and lobbyists draft all the rules and push all the legislation, I mean ... they have basically reduced our political leaders to nothing but flunky peddlers ... sad and embarrassing but true {:-) Anytime you get a sales pitch for any product/ package/ deal, where you cant even examine it for obviously nonsensical reasons, you're fixin to get burned, whether it's on the small street level or some large deal, that isnt even worth the money they put into selling/ marketing it, and all you end up with is trash for cash! When consumers buy foods and products, they want to know what is in what they are buying, as any customer would ... nor do they want to be milked dry of their taxes and surplus by lawsuits from some corporation that wants to sue us simply because our cigarette or drug restrictions/ warnings/ safeguards ... may cut into their so called projected profit estimates, etc, etc.

You got Merkel trying to tell the German people that their quality of living will go up with the trade deal, and the usual talk that others get about the $100+ billion or so in GDP growth, 700,000 jobs or related ... sounds great, eh?, NAFTA sounded great to Americans when they pushed that through here, remember all the prosperity talk out of both Democrats and Republicans here? ... why in Hell should you trust these deals looking at the recent history of others, especially if the details and negotiations are kept secret from you? ... how many trillion does those who are designing these trade deals look to make, eh? ... ohhh, I'm sorry ... after all ... dont they say that this is all designed to give us abundant opportunity, prosperity and enforcing environmental and labour laws? ... it's ALL of course for us ... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-) ... we should feel blessed and grateful for all the love they give us, eh? (out of our money at that). The German people arent that damn stupid, they already have good standards for labour rights, medicine, food/ produce inspection requirements for consumers, environmental regulations and much else, what you are selling them here and all the EU, is opportunity to reduce their standards, which are higher than ours, to be more equal with ours in the US ... and even lower ours in the US more, to try to catch up with some place like Vietnam, Honduras or whoever at the bottom of the barrel, it's more like what folks call a race to the bottom basically. Before you know it, if ya'll let this happen in your European countries, you will basically end up with a corporate only control communism over your healthcare, pharma and everything else like you have in America, with not much say so on a bloody damn thing, let that happen and next thing you know insurance companies will want to sell you another deal. As is, this is basically across the board reductions and going backwards ... it's not progressive as President Obama sayz, it's just regressive. Corporations win all the way around and it makes them have more leverage to merge and monopolize the marketplace and financial arena, to create their corporate Utopian society, while telling us we should worry about China's economic power. If it was so damn free as far as trade, they wouldnt deny any country to trade that refused to join their bargain basement deal.

Trade is alwayz a good thing, this is nothing but trash though, whether it's in European countries, American, African or Asian countries, people have damn good reason to reject the garbage that is in these, once again, the people are the producers and consumers, and that's how trade deals should be made and negotiated by ... every individual country and looking out for their concerns and unique economic climate conditions, not some corporate law type chop shop, cloaking and peddling this garbage in the name of love and globalism through their flunky politicians. Just the ISDS (Investor- State Dispute Settlement) deal in these alone by itself can be devastating to all our countries, products, environment, etc ... so this questioning and skepticism, is not simply hypothetical pronouncements as President Obama puts it, people in Europe and America care about more than just making sure that workers in some impoverished dictatorship country have labour rights like us, which they WILL NOT, as long as those dictators and pocket puppet politicians are running shop, bank on it! And BIG Thanx to all those on every level global wide that question and reject these deals ... it's damn well in order! A positive for example may be more access in stores to EU goods at lower prices because of easier trade, removing tariffs/ costs, etc ... meaning an alternative to strictly the saturation of Chinese goods you see now in many retailers. At first I just thought maybe these deals like TPP, TTIP or such can be revised and touched up ... but the way these look, maybe they should just be trashed and start from scratch, those who spent years putting these packages together, will talk about how much money and hours over the years they put into it ... that's not our damn problemo, nor should we care how much time or money they spent to draft up this scam. You can also bet here in the U.S., whoever the next President is, they are going to be pressured as well to carry this through. But enough out of my mouth on this posting, I elaborate further on trade in Parts 4, 3, 2 & 1 ... and I detail it a little more clearer in Part 3 here. This posting will be Part 4 of "Hillary Clinton" series of this journal ... and much credit to Abby Martin here for what I thought was a well done piece, Abby is a long time favourite of mine that I been following for several years online for her investigative reporting and related journalism, and she is throughout this journal/ blog as well ... and this posting will kick- off a new series for this journal of Abby Martin. I also want to make clear as a Sanders supporter, that I do not hate Hillary Clinton, because I know she has folks that outright hate her from much I read ... but I strongly question her stand on many things just researching her past as I have detailed in Part's 3, 2 & 1 of this series. And it wouldnt go well in my marriage since my wife is a big Hillary supporter ... my wife even said once when viewing the tele one night, and they were talking about Hillary lying ... "I dont care if Hillary is a liar, they all are ... I want a woman President!" ... which I certainly can understand is way past due, for women like my wife all over America. I could be totally wrong in my views and questioning where she stands, because she has a solid record of changing so much on many issues as well ... for all I know, she could really be the progressive champion that she has been saying she now is, and made a complete turnaround on her stand whether it's Wall Street, defense, incarceration, or anything else, she certainly knows the issues of concern in our country better than anyone, and has a mass amount of background/ briefing on such, mega political and financial support/ backing, and experience and knowledge on affairs domestic and globally to potentially be a great leader, even knows on a personal level, heads of all the countries that are importante to U.S. relations (which was why she was appointed Secretary of State, to groom her for the presidency to come several years later), she has shook hands with the top of the food chain globally, and been very strong on defense and foreign occupation/ intervention especially, as you can see below in the video.

One thing I do agree with Clinton on, is being strong on defense (when actually needed though), but, what I mean by defense is ... defense of our 'country' and allies, not what we been seeing with this babysitting/ policing especially this middle eastern region or pouring billions of dollars into it of our goddamn money that we need here ... basically if you come down on us, we will come down on you hard, but I dont feel we should be into all this regime change and occupations that is basically just to kiss the Saudi's and oil/ mineral companies asses ... they can pay for their own shit as far as I'm concerned, ya'll are the dictating regime with so much wealth and power ... why in Hell should we be your flunkies and fund you?, as far as I care, ya'll can go fuck yourselves ... clean your own shit up! Nor do I give a shit about their religious wars and hangup's over there which been going on for ages, or care to be involved with their affairs. In my view also, nosing too much into some of these countries shit and constantly doing these random drone strikes that kill thousands of innocent folks to get a handful of people, is just inciting resentment, and when we leave all this equipment and weapons in some of these countries like Iraq, these groups use them to kill more people, then they have the red- ass and want to do individual terror attacks in our regions in the west, and use what we done mixed with religion to justify it. But this posting again is only to question, and to even look at her background since she is the top candidate in our country (she actually blows away Trump in mainstream media popularity), dont take anyone's word as gospel truth whether it's this video or my opinions ... listen, read, research for yourself ... and come to your own decision is all I'm saying. Part of what inspired this series is when I went to a Bernie Sanders rally last year here in Dallas .... and a lady I know (Brandi) who is a Hillary supporter asked me if I would go to a Hillary rally as well (since Hillary was also doing a tour through town, and I intended to go see Hillary as well) ... I told her ... "yeah, I would like to just for the experience ..." she then asked why I didnt? ... I told her that I couldnt afford the $2700 luncheon it took to get in, and probably couldnt have passed the screening, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-) But anywayz ... on to Abby's piece below .... This posting will be for the "Public Patriots" and "Beautiful Girlz" series of this blog/ journal to highlight Ana Kasparian and Thank her for her work as far as using her straight views and opinions to enlighten so many on issues that too many in particularly mainstream network media are unable to do because of all the heavy restrictions they have, mainly due to shareholders of the major corporations that fund them ... sadly many really good journalists in the country that do an excellent job are so restricted. Ana does well on her own with viewership on YouTube with a couple channels of her own and being the co- host and producer of The Young Turks, which TYT gave her much exposure and the freedom to be able to simply be herself. When folks like her though are able to give a more clear view to a large growing audience and do such a great job at it ... I look at it as a type of public patriotism and service to our country ... it's Americana at it's finest to me, at the same time it makes folks think for a change instead of just following what they're told to, and being politically correct, we need more of this especially in these times. I see more and more a society that is today saturated in political correctness, left/ right programming, and as Ana would agree I'm sure ... a type of corporate political force- fed neo- Puritan society ... bowing to and kissing the asses of worthless leadership, incompetence, and stupidity ... with no value or substance. Ana is in the category of a progressive when it comes to her values and politics, although she came from more of a strict conservative type grooming as a kid, and had her own conservative values. I myself side more with those who politically call themselves progressive these dayz, simply because of the current serious issues we face right now concerning our future. The fact is, that none of the mainstream in politics are making any significant progress for our nation as a whole, within any acceptable time frame (which ANY job requires of their employees ... after all, they are OUR employees), we have gave them decades to get their shit together. I have been voting for instance for these mainstream politics for 40 years now ... and besides the really great folks in politics with real leadership qualities and action, that more or less get pushed off to the side ... the majority (or what they call the establishment) are collectively worthless as far as working for the people ... overly showcased, pampered, protected and paid/ financed by us all ... but frankly a waste of our time and energy unfortunately.

In journalism there should be more freedom for journalists to do their jobs and give their real views, besides just reporting a script, and try to do more to break away from what it has become recently in mainstream media, and it's good for business I feel. No doubt the in- depth detail coverage of stories and reporting they do focus on is better than ever, really commercialized and big show production ... but it lost something, while so many try to reinvent themselves because they are losing viewership, despite doing all the elaborate producing they can ... but what they miss is how far off base they may get as far as being in touch with viewers sometimes, and losing touch in trying to be too complex or perfect, they lose much in the long run. Ana doesnt view herself in definition as a journalist as she wants to be, as far as doing much more of what journalists are in the trenches doing, but to me she does and will do just great, I like listening to her commentaries and points she makes ... and going straight at the throats of those who deserve nothing less. By using her skills on YouTube, she is also able to reach that audience that has just plain got tired of business as usual when it comes to issues that they are most concerned with, and that many media are unable to cover much, and she delivers to a new growing audience. At the same time, because she is a beautiful attractive lady, she can get alot of guyz to zero in on her ... and if they listen, they can get something out of what she sayz and get enlightened as well, besides just looking at her boobs or whatever. Hopefully she will be able to grow and expand with the least amount of corporate interference, and she is surrounded right now by some good folks that she is fortunate to work with ... I think her head is on the right track to not get too contaminated ... at least she has what it takes to. But, folks like Ana contribute significantly to good journalism and the way it should be, and she has the leadership qualities that she hasnt fully touched on yet, she is smart enough to make things happen ... so I look forward to see where she can take her work, and to be in her own way a public servant of sort in doing so. I see the potential of really being a great journalist at that as she moves on ... below I chose a few videos to highlight off YouTube ... and there is much out there as food for thought from Ana available ... DEMOCRACY SPRING 2016: Democracy DID NOT Die ... It Just Took A NAP / The SPRING is HERE, Time to GET IN GEAR ... The "ALLEGIANCE To DISOBEDIENCE" Edition ... (THE AWAKENING PT.40) & (PUBLIC PATRIOTS PT.41)

This posting will be for the "The Awakening" and "Public Patriots" series of this journal/ blog ... most importantly though, to honour all these people as public type patriots for their week long march and allegiance to democracy, and demanding with civil disobedience, while awakening so many others ... it's not easy what these folks go through, and they deserve to be honoured ... this is what democracy needs to flourish in any form. There isnt much mainstream media coverage of this, a little I added below in a link of CNN, but it had no problemo spreading in other alternative media sources and even globally, and Thanx to all those as well in various media for covering it. When I started this series of the "Awakening" back in 2011 (Part 1 here), it was to just compile a history of an upcoming movement on what I was previously posting bit's and pieces on since the start of the journal. The Occupy Movement was so strong, and it inspired other splinter groups to grow and resist as this country was being ripped to shreds by some of these politicians and their donors. Today we have had several years now of this 'Citizens United' Supreme Court ruling, which has dug even deeper at destroying our country and representation, and the great thing is that it got people off their ass, there are millions more now wanting to vote and many newer younger voters. There is several pieces of legislation already for Congress to move on and address ... Thanx to all these patriots on every level that they act, and people wont let up until these issues are addressed. BIG Thanx to folks like Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren as well, and how they pushed for issues that others dont want to talk about, putting establishment politics on the spot ... and giving more exposure to the day old rehashed political mouthpiece rubbish that we are fed in America ... and there are several politicians that do want change and progress, and will challenge the establishment. Dont accept this half assed political talk, that the American people ask for too much ... set them straight, because it's the other way around ... the people are NOT asking for too much, you have TAKEN TOO MUCH that belongs to them!  ... give them Hell and relentlessly hound their asses on every level you can.

I have had folks tell me over the years that they dont vote, they no longer care, they're in so much debt or whatever and trying to keep their heads above water, they see no hope, many think that the system is just so ruined and corrupt that nothing can change it ... I never believed that or will. I have had folks ask me how can I be optimistic?, some folks think I'm nutz/ crazy and unrealistic ... because there isnt a thing anyone can do about it. How can I possibly have optimism? ... it's simple ... look at history, the peoples will, and the progress that's been made all over the globe for centuries, that's it. I hear others say online, that it's over ... this is the new normal, etc, etc ... they see no hope, democracy has ended, etc. The spirit of democracy dont end, until you let it end ... it's not dead at all ... it's what you make it, look around at the resistance, it's just that we took a long nap, got lazy and let our nation get taken advantage of ... too many simply politically inactive, too many reluctant to vote and utilize the tools we have. Those who corrupt everything in the world and chip away at our liberties while basically robbing us, are so financially intoxicated themselves, that they lost common sense ... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {:-), and just figured that masses of people were going to just be dazzled by their politipop culture and stayed glued to their iPhones while absorbing their rubbish, they missed the fact that people know how to organize and network better than what those at the top give them credit for, and are smarter than they think, they figure the young never knew real freedom and wont question new so called freedom. They also assume that people will be frightened of getting arrested or whatever, and will simply do as they're told, some will of course, but the resistance will grow even stronger, many people have an allegiance to disobedience as well when it's 'in order' ... and IT IS, it's part of our American fiber since the start. Now in 2016 the new Democracy Spring movement carries on, and motivates people to get in gear for the next round. I added some links and videos of the new Spring ... enough from me.

***** POST NOTE/ POLITICIANS & CHANGE: Not ALL, but a significant portion of our Representation in Washington "truly" dont want much "Change" or "Reform" ... Why? Because it IS NOT human nature. I mean ... There is no incentive ... they have to be "forced" by the people ... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh ... just call it something like "laying down the law ..." :-) Think about it a moment ... If you had a paycheck of say a couple hundred thousand dollar's a year, the best health insurance money can buy (tax money at that :-), great retirement benefit's, free luncheon's/ dinner's at fine eateries (tax write- off expense :-), a month or two off for major Holidayz such as Christmas/ New Years, luxury car rental reimbursement's, recreation and health workout facilities, and additional financial support in the 100's of thousand's to a million+ dollar's or so annually, no term limit, you write and pass all the law's, locked and cocked for life, etc, etc ... Why would you possibly want much of anything to "change"? Why would you even want "reform"? Why would you want to get out of gridlock, or a 2- party system, especially when it stall's everything and guarantee's you an opponent next election that you can blame everything on?
