***** CNN/ U.S.: Missouri Police officer on leave over video in which he says: 'I'm ... a killer' ... (added saturday 23 august 2014) ... for those who think that all officer's are level headed, to protect and serve and the rest ... I encourage you to watch the top video in this link before you read anything else on this page. This St. Louis County Police officer (Dan Page) was assigned to work the protest's in Ferguson, and since his statement's popped up, is now put on administrative leave as usual, pending a psychological evaluation. I wouldnt even put a man like this on leave ... his ass if I were a chief would be out the door in a heartbeat, with no goddamn pay either! I mean ... the man is certainly entitled to his opinion and I have no issue if he is a racist, anti- gay/ lesbian, and anti women, I frankly dont give a shit ... but you sure as Hell wouldnt have a goddamn job in my department ... you can bank on that!

*****************************************************************************

However, the outright firing an officer from the job can get a lil tricky and complex, but some of these officer's in many cases dont seem to get reprimanded in any way ... so alot need's to be addressed in these area's, and that need's to be addressed in the legislative area, and with police union's/ organization's, which is currently kind of screwed up. I mean ... I seen cop's in the Dallas area for instance that got fired for outright offenses such as armed robbery to slinging/ dealing dope/ drug's, sexual assault's, etc ... but also seen cop's that were fired for say use of excessive force of some kind that just ended up working for some other department somewheres else, like in more smaller town's throughout the state. Also when a chief does seriously reprimand an officer, it can cause some interdepartmental and morale issues with officer's, kind of like when cop's dont like cop's that snitch on cop's for example ... a cop so called "standing his/ her ground" and doing what they were "trained" to do get's more complicated.

Dallas Police recently have started a new type training system for officer's on the usage of force, because we had 12 fatal shooting's by cop's this year, 3 this last week ... this will have cop's in Dallas relying and focusing more on non- lethal force with more usage of taser's or other equipment and method's to apprehend suspect's. But these type changes are needed all over the country, especially in the larger urban areas. One of the thing's that were forgetting here, that in many, many cases of death by law enforcement in our country, is that these people were not armed or even much threat in many cases to officer's or anyone ... that is a problemo ... I mean, even back in the dayz of the wild west, shooting a person in the back or unarmed was frowned on ... NOT acceptable ... that is not forward progress or even fair defensively or any other justified reasoning, it's just reckless behaviour on law enforcement's part ... so dont bitch and whine about the behaviour of rioting and looting ... or how you feel threatened by word's from a suspect ...  stop being a unionized crybaby ... or whining about how tough your job is! ... go find another damn job if you cant do the job! ... ya'll in law enforcement instigated this yourselves, period!

Another thing to realize, when our leaders whine about violence, crime or whatever ... violence just like gun's are embedded in our nation's culture even, have been since the start of it. We start war's over corporate, mining interest's (which contributes to breeding terrorism too), and even sometimes just to sell defense contract's, after all, money is the No#1 God of this country (as my Dad told me as a kid), we let cop's get away with abusing and killing citizen's, we abuse our children and manipulate their thinking, pump them full of mind altering pharma drug's, push crap food on them for profit's, bankrupt them to get an education, and drive many into poverty, and do every crooked thing in the book (we even wrote the book at that). Yet you call our children "criminal"?, or bitch when they decide to retaliate the year's of abuse? ... and you wonder WHY? ... do you ever stop and look at yourselves at the top and the reality THAT YOU mostly created? So when they come at you in defiance or for revenge ... dont whine and cover up and act dumb, talking about how "right" you are ... ya'll created your own reality, did you not teach them?

Part 18 of the "Police Brutality" series will be to look at the police shooting death of Mike Brown and the related circus of misery that these folks have been going through in Ferguson and the St. Louis area, after all, just within dayz of the Brown shooting during the Ferguson protest's, another young man who shoplifted a couple can's soda pop, Mr. Kajieme Powell, got also killed by St.Louis police (video of the Powell shooting and newsread here), Powell clearly taunted police, they say he had a knife, and started to approach officer's, yelling to kill him, etc. And my heart and thought's go out to the families of these men, despite their so called criminal action's, because I sure as Hell dont think either that Brown was a bad kid at all, and I feel sorry for the young children of this type small community who live in suburbia to have to experience this and their families, with all the outsider's and all the militarized police involvement, this is a shame, period.  But I also wanted to say something about the way this investigation and so called jury presentation is looking, what the law states, and the possible outcome of this at the rate this is going, which is how I see it only, and maybe I'm wrong, so hope that I am for those who are looking for a murder conviction of any of these officer's.

I hesitated to even cover this till now, and because this whole thing as simple as it is, has just been a confusing mess (as far as information release by law enforcement), with more that would leave folk's scratching their head's in question or saying something like ... so and so "should've, would've or could've", with very shakey and very unsatisfactory dissemination of information, delayz in releasing the officer's name (Officer Darren Wilson), even after they knew that they had the officer as protected as you can get, with conflicting testimonies from witnesses and police changing their stories, only releasing part of the story piece by piece, lack of video, to where the only video is post mortem of Mr. Brown after the shooting lying dead, etc. But the coverage of this has been a constant, and I will just link CNN below, because despite any criticism to CNN, they have at least stayed on this case day and night and seem's to have tried their damnedest to get all information possible, and this has also came up in discussion with several here in my community and I told a few of these folks that I WILL do a posting on this, this weekend for sure. Some link's below, then I will add my part after.

                                                            UPDATES:

***** CNN/ U.S.: (added tuesday 26 august 2014) What's next in the Michael Brown case? ... this is screwed up of course, because this is one of those closed door type grand jury review's, nothing being made public, even though all the juror's also are somewhat tainted, they have to be, if they were chosen from the community ... your telling me none of them heard nothing about this case? (all from St. Louis County?) Why do I find that hard to believe? There is also new released audio from another anonymous phone (supposedly FBI are reviewing) with 10 gun shot's linked here, first 6 shot's then a pause for roughly 3 second's and another 4 shot's? ... they say they want to review it to see if it is authentic? (your telling us that weeks after this case, you still cant release the amount of shot's fired? ... c'mon now) I have to wonder, with even "NO" testimony as far as the officer's version, and now your telling me, that the number of shot's are in question? ... how can that be? ... do they not have the officer's gun after the shooting to determine exactly how many shot's were fired? Forensic's should be able to determine exactly how many shot's were fired, you didnt even take that gun to check on such a high profile case with supposedly a lack of evidence? ... why do I also find that hard to believe? I'm also not familiar with Missouri law, but here in Texas when there is a grand jury review for an indictment case, although they are generally closed door, by law the defendant and other's involved in the case can petition/ request to the court to be present and even testify before that jury panel ... and it usually is granted ... so I dont understand what in Hell is going on here?, and dont like it frankly. I only hope that the people really question this ... Brown and Johnson's attorneyz certainly sound like they have some question's ... and you can bet your ass I would. I dont even see ANY transparency here to be honest, nothing but one piece of bullshit after another ... where the Hell is any transparency in this?

***** I'm not trying to paint officer Wilson here as a villian ... but this is supposed to be all about transparency and truth, and since there is so much talk in media, of transparency, hugging, love of community, etc, etc ... shouldnt there be a lil more? ... and officer Wilson living up to his oath to serve and protect and the rest to the community he loves? I also dont understand after so much time since the shooting, why officer Wilson would be reluctant to make a media appearance (besides his attorneyz telling him not to), but, if he is confident that he was acting in defense of himself, I mean ... I would want to tell my lawyer's that I have nothing to hide and demand that I am allowed to give my side of the story in public, no one can shoot me (him) on a tele/ TV screen, eh? And IF you have NOTHING to hide (as police alwayz tell us citizen's when the want to search and question without probable cause or warrant) ... practice what ya'll preach and DONT hide ... just come out with it, it's simple.

Papantonio: Right Wing Media Defends Michael Brown Shooter ... Thanx to RING OF FIRE RADIO ... a piece here from Brown's attorney Daryl Parks, and also attorney Mike Papantonio ... and yes ... this is already becoming "political", and right wing media is the ones mainly responsible as well for the now hundred's of thousand's of dollarz that been pouring in for defense of officer Wilson.

Thomas Hudson Pickering aka "Ranch Chimp", "Commie Tommie" & "Skool" (short for old school) to kid's locally

Hell NO! ... the people shouldnt be satisfied and blindly just trust this investigation, I sure as Hell dont, and if I did I would say it here, plain and clear with no beating around the bush. Especially with the history of these investigation's and the outcome across our nation ... and No, I dont trust this caller named "Josie" who done a radio testimony of what happened that day, that was consistent to Officer Wilson's story (although officer Wilson's story hasnt even been officially released, so we are having to go with what you tell us? ... this is kangaroo court style), there is no way I trust anything of someone who hides their identity to testify on something this critical and importante whether it's on the radio or any other media, making up excuses as to "why" they hide ... as far as I'm concerned, if you cant come right out in the open with who you are and prove anything, I havent much reason to believe anything you say as having ANY credibility, period. And No ... if I had any kind of power over it, I would NOT let St.Louis County Prosecutor Robert McColloch handle the grand jury case on this ... no way in Hell with his history and background ... and I am NOT saying he is a villian, it just leaves too much room for him to be partial because of his family ties to law enforcement and the death of his father in the line of duty who was a cop as well. And as far as I'm concerned even the President (Obama, who I also been a strong supporter of) hasnt done enough to address this, but I understand what kind of load that the President has on him, especially with the troubles in Iraq and Syria currently and having to explain to the American people that he may have to break his promise of no boot's on the ground ... a statement he should have never made to begin with, knowing that insurgencies will later take you up on it. But at least sending in Attorney General Holder and the federal government to oversee some of this is a start ... because frankly we have some civil and across the board rights issues in this nation that are serious. But so far all I seen from the federal side (since they all talk of this being about transparency) is simply hug's, a few tear's with the victim's families and alot of talk from law enforcement and government folks, especially coaching the family of Mr. Brown to ask for "peace" ... but NOTHING else, or ANY question's being answered.

The character assassination of Mike's partner Dorian Johnson has already started, before even a trial, which you have to expect, it's funny how they alwayz question if any of these kid's/ people ever been busted or smoked a joint/ blunt? ... where they are over reluctant to even question any of the officer's in these instances background's, or if they (officer's) EVER smoked a goddamn joint?!! No ... after looking at this closely as I can ... I dont believe even that Mike was a bad- ass ... I just believe he was a big kid, and may have even been influenced some by his buddy Dorian, being that Dorian is 4 year's older than him ... I mean, when I was a kid (and I grew up in some tough street's, believe me), I was kind of an on the edge kid, with alot of let's say "energy", who done some dumb thing's because of older kid's who knew my vulnerabilities and would "dare" me ... and ... I fucked up a few times myself. I dont believe that Mike even had the slightest clue that his action's or intention's and response (basing this on the video in the store they identify as Mike and Dorian) in that store is technically "strongarm robbery", he was just flexing his muscle to this store owner when the store owner resisted and/ or took an attitude toward's Mike, it was just spontaneous, if Mike would have really wanted to harm the store owner, he would have beaten him, plain and simple, not got in his face and do a push and shove dance with him and shooting word's (there is also conflicting report's as what Mike and Dorian were actually doing in that store video, that it may have been an arguement instead of any kind of theft) ... but this is where Mike fucked up ... just like this other angry young man Kajieme, maybe not expecting the police to just shoot him in broad daylight in the City of St. Louis after Mike's killing with all the witnesses and heat in the area.

I think part of Wilson's story may be true, "if" being that he just told them to get the Hell out of the road, and he didnt get the robbery suspect call till second's after then decided to pursue them, so far there is conflicting evidence even if there was a real struggle with Mike and Dorian as the police and officer Wilson say, or how injured the officer was or just how much of an assault on the officer occured, which I have no reason to believe whatsoever that this kid Mike tried to take the officer's gun ... I dont think he is that kind of kid (I knew some real bad asses in my time, and Mike doesnt fall into that category). However, I have not heard any bit of confirmation that even the store owner reported the incident, nor any confirmation that the robbery call was even dispatched, usually in any case, especially a homicide/ robbery, 911 calls and even the dispatch call is made public, both must be recorded and on record, neither has the store owner made any statement in media, or supposed witnesses at the store. Only all peoples phones at the scene where Mike was killed were confiscated and law enforcement officially after all this time has kept tight lipped and released nothing at ALL. So someone is covering up here and clearly being less than honest after further review of this, I have no doubt now. Because you know that the media's combined havent withheld nothing, they grab everything they can get, the witnesses at the shooting scene have talked publicly, and even Dorian ... so who does that leave that hasnt gave any info of substance? ... you got it ... so there you know.

The jury looking at this will be told something like ... all this cop know's is that he possibly according to the call has a "store robbery" suspect in reach who look's big (and so far even the reported "call" and what it said hasnt been released to the public, it should have been since the start of this), and NOT enough info as far as how dangerous this suspect may be, and respond's with full force that he is allowed and trained for by law, it just happened too fast and even the officer didnt think much ... but yes ... this officer "was shooting to kill" from the autopsy report's of any/ all ... and in my opinion ... this is just excessive force permitted frequently these dayz, that can easily be avoided. I mean ... this shit/ tactic's like anything else can have a slippery slope, there is a flip- side to everything. So to me ... trying to get a murder indictment and/ or conviction on either of these cases will be difficult (this here is clear cut cop mudering as example, and even this case was not justly handled), if everyone is impartial and unbiased even. Dont misunderstand me here as far as the issue of cop's using deadly force, this is an example of one case with Capt. David Huff in Oklahoma that I support the use of deadly force, not all cases are alike, so deadly force shouldnt be used just casually as the only way either. What need's to be addressed more than anything in this nation is the USE of DEADLY FORCE, the whole goddamn thing need's to be re- evaluated, or else you are going to have more and more of these cases increasing ... same as the stand your ground law's need to be looked at a lil more carefully and revised (and I am a pro- defense and gun supporter even).

As far as the police response to the demonstration's and the concern's over the militarization of police forces in this nation, this should be carefully looked at as well. But also understand that this is a sign of the times simply as far as force ... the police know in this nation that they have a VERY well armed citizenry and alot of angry people, they are going to build their defense stronger than we have ever seen in our lives. At the same time the response from government/ law enforcement in these demonstration's was disrespectful the way it was handled and an over- reaction from Governor Nixon, and understand that yokel's dont know how to deal with typically big city issues like these that are more common in big town's like New York or Los Angeles ... and panic too quickly (Ferguson is part of the City of St.Louis area and even within the freeway loop belt that surround's the city, but as a suburb town has independent government ... so it's not rural). As far as the looting of businesses? ... you have to expect that element, it actually hasnt much to do with race either as some whites may think ... if your young, restless, angry, under- employed or unemployed or related, regardless of what skin colour you are ... this is alwayz a possibility and doesnt represent the overwhelming majority and their anger or grievances. Again ... this is an issue that should be concerning of all American's, regardless of race, politic's, religion or whatever. Many American's, especially the young, will start to see that we need a new civil rights movement, and to revolt against this while it is your right, something I talk about on occasion with even my teen grandson's and those their age, because they are asking many question's and feel the pinch today, and heard about our problem's in the 1960's, wondering if it's starting all over again. The people expect some goddamn answer's and progress on this, and rightfully so ... so dont get too cocky thinking that they will just wear down and forget it, or you will just roll out the tank's everytime they get angry and it will be a cakewalk ... cause it WONT ... you cant win and it can only disrupt your monetary empires and market's, so wise the fuck up and do this at least as right as you can, and SHOW instead of just talking.

Other than that ... it's NFL pre- season and the Oakland Raiders are at the Green Bay Packers tonight, which I am going to enjoy now ... Word Out ....

AC/ DC- BON SCOTT: "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Dog Eat Dog", "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" & "Shot Down In Flames" ... A Tribute To BON SCOTT

http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo165/AngelFlowababe/Bon%20Scott/bon102.jpg
  Bon Scott

This posting will be a tribute to the Scottish born Australian vocalist/ lyricist/ songwriter and a cornerstone to building the mega hard rock crew AC/ DC, to honour in this journal's music/ arts honour roll society ... and I was really in the mood this morning for some of the early AC/ DC with Bon to kickstart my day {: ) Of course this crew has quite a history with award's, Hall of Fame induction, a long line of music, one of the top seller's of album's in history, record arena sellout's, etc, etc. And many when they think of this crew as far as vocal's think of Brian Johnson, who is a really powerful vocalist himself, and even on covering the work of Bon as you can see here on "Highway To Hell" or later work of his after Bon like "For Those About To Rock" and other great pieces. I remember the dayz of Bon Scott and his energy he brought to a show as if it was just a couple year's ago, even though it's been 34 year's now since he passed away (interview here with Bon Scott).

Bon Scott to me was one of those trademark vocalist's, inspired as a kid by "Little Richard", who the fan's were No#1 to him, focusing alot on being an arena type crew and presentation, not out to sell singles, but album's and great live show's, with lyric's that related to so many folks, and keeping it basic and raw, with the outstanding rhythm and lead guitar work out of Angus and his brother Malcolm, which was simply to me just basic progressive amplified blues guitar work ... I mean ... I look at Angus as a blues guitarist. Over the year's this crew and Bon has inspired so many in the industry in various genres of contemporary music as well (a really nice cover here from My Ruin of "Have a Drink on Me" ,and Joan Jett cover here of "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"). So this posting I wanted to focus on those Bon Scott year's, and some of my favourites of his and the crew, the show's were as basic as it get's despite large arena type production, with not much stage show, lighting or anything, just basic raw in your face hard rock, and some of the best of the best at that! ... and Thank You Sir for all the great music and show's! ... Enjoy!

ERIC GARNER DEATH: Back on Black, Clashes of the Classes & Quality of Life Crimes ... The "PEACE, POT & POETRY" Edition ... (INCARCERATED AMERICAN PT.25) & (POLICE BRUTALITY PT.17)

Eric & wife Esaw Garner

Man Dies After NYPD Chokehold (RIP Eric Garner of Staten Island) ... Thanx to MENTUHOTEP RA

***** RESTING IN PEACE: Some of the last word's here of Mr. Garner were ... "Everytime you see me you want to mess with me and harass me ... I'm tired of it ... this stop's today". Everytime injustice is shelled out to one of our children, parent's, familia and neighbour's, etc ... we alwayz call for peace, and assume that those who were killed intentionally or unintentionally are NOW resting in peace ... that IS somewhat foolishly a distraction from reality ... and somewhat insulting to those who lost their life in this manner ... they sure as Hell didnt die peacefully! NO ONE ... whether it is Mr. Garner or anyone else who dies like this is resting in peace UNTIL their death is AVENGED in some way! That is the ONLY way for PEACE and ANY kind of real JUSTICE!

*****************************************************************************

This posting to review the death of Eric Garner of Staten Island (NYC), and will serve for 2 series of this journal "Incarcerated American" & "Police Brutality" series. The above video which led to Eric's death show's a common reality that happen's daily across New York and the nation, most of the time it dont result in death, but many injuries occur, you just never hear much about it unless it's in your neighbourhood. The outcry on this has been loud ... and rightfully so. Even families such as Ramsey Orta & Chrissie Ortiz harassed, and other's get shook down after, both of who got busted as well for "non- related" offenses ... Ramsey shot the above video, and his wife Chrissie I also wanted to include her video interview linked below with WPIX- 11 (NY), because what Chrissie sayz is the clear blunt reality of the condition without any of the bullshit, so I recommend hearing her out. Also included is a link with video of Eric's wife Esaw in the 2nd NY Daily News link below. I also put a link in to explain what exactly "Quality of Life Crimes" are below in the World Socialist Web Site link, since this is another 21st century pop- culture/ politically correct law/ term/ title which fuel's the fire of racism and classism in America and clashes between the classes, which end's up alot of times as simply hammering more back on black profiling and so forth. And the reason for me calling this the "peace, pot & poetry" edition is because we cant alwayz address our problem's with simple marches of peace, holding hand's, reciting poetry and smoking pot to give us a submissive attitude, or simply turning the other cheek ... which is why I included the 2 YouTube video's below that are some of the reaction to Eric's death during his funeral, which is straight to the point, straight common sense and a justified response. After below I will add some comment's on this of my own.

***** PIX 11/ NEW YORK: Wife of man who captured Eric Garner arrest says police are targeting her family ... this video with Mrs. Chrissie Ortiz (wife of Ramsey Orta who filmed Mr. Eric Garner being arrested by police, that resulted in Mr. Garner's death) is such a straight up view of just what the reality is in New York as far as tension's between community and police.

FUNERAL for ERIC GARNER, Public Demands! ... Thanx to APRIL WATTERS ... what this man is asking for are just the basics of what any citizen would expect as far as accountability ... he isnt asking for anything special. It's true, there are hundred's of files that have been closed and not being looked at.

FUNERAL for ERIC GARNER, Public is ANGRY!! ... Thanx to APRIL WATTERS ... I commend this man speaking below for standing up, enlightening folk's mind's, especially the youth and doing the right thing. Because I can assure you (and he even know's this well) that NYPD and anti- terror crew's are going to be tailing this man with an eye like a fox watching a hen house, there are more cop's and camera's than what you can see here catching every bloody word he is saying ... like he said "their on the rooftop's, bathroom's", etc. Although he is doing nothing that is illegal, they will have certain unit's that will basically put him and other's like him on their "shit- list's" ... perfect example would be folk's like Chrissie Ortiz & Ramsey Orta, they got track record's and are easy prey like many other's to harass. This man know's of the possible consequences, but stand's defiant regardless without hiding and ready for whatever comes. Regardless of how much these NYPD unit's watch folk's like this ... there is a "flip- side" to that coin ... because this will inspire thousand's of other citizen's to record the action's and word's of many more officer's, bring grievances, petition's, suit's, etc, to downtown and the department's, which in turn will require some action within their own to clean house in time. This is also a positive for the NYPD overall ... why? ... because again ... there are many more good cop's than bad cop's in this game ... many officer's dont want to have a thing to do with this rubbish, even officer's in their own department's/ unit's/ precinct's that speak out are harassed by other officer's ... that is how deep some of this can get.

And yes, first of all I listened to the police union's response and Pat Lynch here slamming Rev. Sharpton and how tough it is being a cop, etc. ... no doubt to be a cop especially in a town like NYC is a challenge, and NO, after reviewing this closer, I dont think that officer Pantaleo was out to choke Mr. Garner to death and was racially motivated, or lost his head (although officer Pantaleo has some history, I just think he's one of those tough guy street cop's ... and this time he fucked up big time) ... shit happen's, eh? The fact is though ... any of us whether intentional or unintentional would be booked in jail and charged with something, period ... not told to take a goddamn vacation with a paycheck ("paid administrative leave" is the official sugar coated term), and when we go to jail, we dont get preferred treatment (at least I sure as Hell NEVER HAD!! ... and I sure as Hell dont believe in giving this guy/ officer preferred treatment either) BUT ... as long as these instances keep getting danced around over and over and there is such a lack of enforcing any kind of accountability, shit is going to keep ON happening, that is the point here. And all due respect to Rev. Sharpton here, BUT ... you cannot just simply hold hand's, weep, pray/ meditate and march in your community and have press conferences and expect anything to change much ... you need to take it downtown ... that is where all these law's are being made that tell officer's to go out in the street's and target so called "undesirables", and that is exactly how they look at these folk's, whether they say it on camera or not, or whatever politipop word's they use ... like "quality of life" criminal's or whatever other politically correct nonsense they feed you. Peace, love, forgiveness, etc is great, but understand that it is difficult and somewhat unnatural to love that which seem's to position itself as your enemy, so you should also be able to understand folk's anger who go through this over and over and over. The gentlemen in the 2 YouTube video's above speak clearly what the condition is, plain and simple. Mrs. Ortiz in the above linked WPIX video explain's how folk's are criminalized, pressured, harassed and herded like cattle through the system, where Wall St investor's make a small fortune on their incarceration in much of this. Mrs. Ortiz's husband arrested for a gun possession charge that was on another person he was with? (maybe the person had a gun for self defense in their possession) then Mrs. Ortiz herself arrested because she assaulted a woman who insulted her over this ... all because of this case and murder ... so shit roll's downhill, eh? ... and those at the bottom alwayz seem to get smothered.

Mr. Lynch and his crew keep saying that Mr. Garner was arrested 8 previous times for selling loosies (basically selling/ slinging loose single cigarettes on the street corner) ... how many store owner's do they bust for selling single smokes? (plenty do in low income working class neighbourhood's, and by "law", it IS illegal for storeowner's to bust open pack's and sell singles) ... I mean ... Mr. Garner paid his tax when he bought the pack's/ carton's, people want to buy them since many people cant afford just to buy pack's and carton's, that is why loosies/ singles are sold. It's killing people with lung cancer? ... why in Hell do you let the tobacco companies and their lobbyist's manufacture and peddle them wholesale? ... if any of us do that, it's called manufacturing, distribution and delivery of a controlled and dangerous substance, eh? ... C'mon ... let's talk some truth for a change, eh? Nowadayz everyone is capable of becoming a registered criminal because of law's such as quality of life crimes. No shit ... you can be homeless which is vagrancy/ loitering, jaywalking, unpaid/  past due ticket's, an expired drivers liscense/ ID, sleeping in a doorway or subway, slinging loosies on the street corner, selling old stuff you have around the house in front of your residence to passing neighbour's like a garage sale, taking a piss in an alley if you cant find a toilet fast enough or are sick, asking for spare change/ panhandling, prostitution ... your a criminal to show some examples ... you are committing crimes. You dont even need to rob/ mug anyone, or take down convenient or liquor store hold- up's, have a weapon or even threaten anyone ... your a criminal, for trying to function or survive the only way you can or just to put food in your belly. My question is ... in a big metro area like NYC ... why in Hell do you need 3, 4, 5 officer's for a guy slinging loosies on a street corner?, everyone knew this guy, even the cop's, they know he's not a hard- ass or someone that is a threat to the community. It was too difficult to control him? he is too big? etc, etc ... I wonder if it passed any of the officer's mind's with 3 or 4 holding him down how easy it would have been to just slip one of those zip- ties they carry around his ankles? ... you can bet he wont travel too far then.

New York these dayz is alot harder than when I lived there year's back from what a couple neighbour's and buddies tell me who moved here from places like the Bronx and Brooklyn, with the way they have criminalized everything in that town from what they tell me. How many cop's do you see around the popular Wall Street bar's/ pub's/ hang- out's busting people for openly distributing cocaine? or peddling/ slinging under the counter other FDA approved designer drug's without the prescription? (prescription distribution ONLY is required by law) ... designer drug's that are equivalent to heroin and cocaine or speed/ meth? ... how many of them get harassed and shaken down in Wall Street circles for hiring numerous escort's to entertain at the bashes they have and basically prostitute business- wise? or how many of them do you harass if their getting a quicky of oral sex in a public park late night because they have fetish for the outdoor/ public sex thing? or how many do you hassle that are slinging/ selling couple hundred dollar cigar's at their hang- out's, or fell asleep on a train or in a cab, because they blacked out after getting too drunk? ... these are all quality of life offenses as well eh? As long as you have plenty of money, or are the right race/ ethnicity, or wear the right type dress/ clothing ... you are NOT targeted ... so class and race is an issue ... there's your proof.

These people in their own communities who dont even go anywheres near the Wall Street crowd's or their neighbourhood's, have every bloody damn right to protest loudly and get angry as Hell the way they are treated ... when you disrespect them and treat them as sub- human ... you have to expect to get fired back on at some point ... it's human nature regardless of what class or race category you fall into. And when people DO even try protesting peacefully like in downtown Manhattan, regardless if their white, black or brown, this is how they treat them and especially our daughter's, sister's, and women of all races. These wayz of governing and enforcement of rule/ law in our country, should NOT only enrage the African American people, BUT, every American regardless of race, gender, political or religious affiliation, and across the board what some of these same entities are doing to our nation, from reducing our wages, robbing our tax dollarz, trying to privatize everything from our post office and social security, pension's to prison system's to be ran by a board of director's, to trying to destroy our Constitution, to manipilating our laws of democracy and law enforcement agencies, the list just goes on, and it is ALL connected. This should no way be acceptable where folks just run around dizzy headed, saying thing's like ... "this is the new normal" ... (and this). We spent year's building and fighting for what we have, not to be taken away, and just think ... "oh well, that's how it goes" ... to tell these powers that we are not going to let ourselves be dictated like some impoverished 3rd world nation that doesnt have a pot to piss in ... this is obviously in your face and NOT democracy. The handling of this case is NOT in order or satisfactory, and neither should the families and people be in order and satisfied in their response, THIS IS NOT good enough for us ... that's the REALITY!

Word Out ....

***** THE BLACK BELLES.COM

This induction to this journal's music/ arts honour roll society will have to go to The Black Belles out of Nashville, this is really a good sound and crew. I cant tell much about this crew because they dont really have alot of history, besides what you can link to through the Wikipedia or website above, they have an interview linked in there. They formed in 2009 and do have one full album out and a couple singles I believe. But Thanx as well to Jack White/ Third Man Records for taking an interest here and being a mentor to help them explore their potential and getting them signed to his label, Jack has a great eye and ear for talent and in my opinion picked a winner here for sure!

From what I gathered, they liked dressing in vintage clothing and wearing black, they love folklore and ghost stories, so that and the Bell Witch of Tennessee story helped inspire their name creating an image to go on. So far they say they are sticking with a 3 member crew, and Erin who it started with is no longer with them. I wanted to mix some "live" and video/ studio here, 2 of the pieces I know are covers, "Lies" was from The Knickerbockers (and was a fav of mine as a kid), and "The Witch" was from the Sonics, both from the mid- 1960's. I dont know what genre at this time I would put them in (I mean, I could fit them into a few probably) ... they are labeled as "Garage Goth" ... but they just really sound good and have a fresh raw sound to them, so I look forward to future work out of this crew, and wishing each of you the best to come, Sincerly! ... Enjoy!

REDEEM ACT 2014/ with Senators Paul & Booker: Tackling the SHACKLING that BIND's America, it's YOUTH & it's PRISON SYSTEM ... The "American LOCKDOWN" Edition ... (INCARCERATED AMERICAN PT.24) & (PUBLIC PATRIOT'S PT.34)

Part 24 of the "Incarcerated American" series is to look at the proposed legislation to do something about the overpopulated prison system here in America. It is also to credit and Thank Senators Rand Paul (KY), and Cory Booker (NJ) as "Public Patriots" for setting down and looking at this with a bipartisan American approach and taking action, since much of Washington is currently so corrupt, contaminated, dysfunctional and full of nickel and dime freak show's like the recent shenanigan's to sue and impeach the President over nonsense like ObamaCare, Middle Eastern or Far Eastern conflict's, pop- culture show's on Hillary Clinton, or similar distraction's. This is an importante domestic issue that need's to be focused on. Some video, links and read below, then I will add some to it after.

Thomas Hudson Pickering aka "Ranch Chimp", "Commie Tommie" & "Skool" (short for old school) to kid's locally

Right now in these trying economic times for most of us, we have an abundant amount of tax money being squandered to house/ incarcerate thousand's of American's, especially young American's for this privatized prison profiteering as you can see throughout this series in other posting's. While at the same time, it is taking serious/ large money away from our state and federal ran prison's and other institution's to house actual dangerous offender's ... and if they "fail" ... like all the other corporate privatization nonsense and scam's going on in America, they will even privatize more of those. I know how difficult this will be for the Senators to sell in Washington to the "establishment" politician's of the left and right, especially at an election time, the million's by corporate lobbyist's that is poured into these ventures and election's, etc (I point out here in Part 21 just how difficult this is to change, but you have to do it by changing law's, especially federal law too as Sen. Booker point's out, the law's "allow" them to milk basically ... and someone has to do it at some point), which is basically modern day racketeering, but it is a good start, so anything at this point is a plus when it comes to this, and this is more of a "positive" when you have politician's on board who are in agreement despite their political differences, instead of just an Attorney General or President trying to make a move "solo". It will also bring to light those hard question's and needed idea's that alwayz get swept under the rug, and instead inspire many more to push.

And what you see here although many still dont know is going on, is actually just the top of the chain in this, it is so deep full of all kind's of other contract's that are milking tax money, and even moreso the families of the inmates ... from those who sell black hair care and skin lotion product's to African American inmates as example, to selling the various junk food's at over inflated prices like candies and Ramen noodles, to coffee/ soup heating element's, portable fan's, phone card's, undergarment's, shoes, or all the other product's that are only allowed to be bought through their own commissary list's ... even when you send inmates money using these services like Ace Cash, they take cut's out of that and short inmates, and charge them for basic health, medical, hygenic need's/ item's that they also get tax money for and sell to families and inmates while pocketing the taxes and over- inflated commissary profit's both ... it's so deep. When there is such a system designed to incarcerate and willing to spend whatever it takes, there is much incentive to make a profit and for thing's to get out of control, especially when you dont watch where every dollar goes, and just loosely fund and fund. Since the last 30 or so year's on record (since the 1984 sentencing reform laws) show that this war on drugs for instance has done no good whatsoever when it comes to the drug issue, for just one example.

Folk's are alwayz wondering why we are so broke?, alwayz trying to dig out of a rut?, where is all the taxes going?, where much of the deficit comes in? ... well it's basically all these Wall St and corporate racketeer's just robbing America blind to be honest. And I am one who been talking about this for over 20 year's now ... this has been how long this has been going strong. I first noticed it year's back in Texas jail's and prison's, alot of them parole violator facilities, or them state type privately run jail's, etc. For instance, they were taking these small abandoned old closed jail's, institution's, hospital's, hotel's, etc, they would remodel them using  inmates to do much in plumbing, electrical, carpentry/ construction to landscaping, etc, with only a few contracted outsiders to oversee and supervise, much labour done for free as work detail by inmates who had trades in the outside free world ... then having state liscensed/ approved inspector's come in to inspect and then give the green light to open and start business ... while most of the money that was coming from state tax money was being pocketed by other's. And there is a whole list of other services that these inmates even do for outside private businesses and agencies for free where tax, company, and private money is also being funneled to these detention center's ... and basically you have a system of like a neo- type slavery. To where today in 2014 they have grown to the point where they get million's upon million's from state and federal funding and build these new places as fast as shopping mall's. Then you have local's in many of these rural area's where the facilities are set up, selling contraband since they outlawed smoking for example, so they smuggle smokes/ tobacco products, drug's or whatever, many times even through underpaid detention officer's who barely make a couple bucks an hour above federal minimum wage, contract worker's, etc.

So how do you keep these institution's full and busy? Well ... you do it by legislating many petty law's that many arent even aware of, 3 strikes your out law's that can take a petty offender for any non violent or even non criminal type offense and make it a privatized prison only state jail type felony or whatever, to where you can get at least a 6 month sentence for the person and make an easy $35K/ $40K grand to shift that inmate through it's system. Your almost guaranteed that a high percentage of them will return for future revenues (for stockholders ... another $35K/ $40K grand a pop), being that the restriction's they have when they get out on parole, to where something as simple as not officially changing your address through the proper proceedures within 24 hours or so, can land you back for a couple month's, or not being able to pay back fee's/ fines/ cost's that are also imposed on you. Focusing on the "poor" youth is a plus and big target as seen by these "investor's", and many of those are folk's of "colour" ... their young and poor, they dont know yet that much about law and their rights, they get a petty possession case or whatever, get into court, get assigned a public defender who worx behind the scenes with the prosecution ... the lawyer/ defender comes back to the defendant/ kid after a closed door meeting with prosecution (this is so pre- planned and rigged, that many times the defense dont even meet with the prosecution, actually tell's the kid to wait in a court conference room, while the defense takes a 10/ 20 minute break to hang out, take a piss, or have a smoke outside), and tell's the kid that the case the state has is strong and if the kid tries to challenge it at a trial they could get some ridiculous maximum amount, so it's a gamble ... which makes the kid worry and take any deal, then tell's the kid to take a cop- out plea deal and let the court/ judge give a sentence on the deal (even judges been busted supplying these institution's with kid's/ inmates), etc ... and when their young and disorganized ... it's easy to keep them returning in some way to the system, so it's like a long- term investment ... and even when their "off paper" (parole/ probation) have them locked in for life in their database for "prior offenses" to use as precedent for future conviction(s), etc.

In Texas for example (and my guess in some other states) when it comes to doing time and defense ... the more money you spend, the less likely you are to do time on any non- violent offense. I was talking to a young lady recently for examples here (white female), she went and done several month's in a state jail for under $20 worth of cocaine possession, slapped with a couple thousand in fines, fee's, etc (she had a court appointed attorney, she couldnt afford defense) after getting out, she now is trying to get her life back together, she is engaged to be married in several month's, she has a job and worx hard, and pretty much other than that is a straight up citizen. Another guy (white male) I talked to about a year ago had 6 bust's/ arrest's for drunk driving, he is an independent contractor in HVAC (heat- ventilation- a/c) who makes good money ... he hired a good defense lawyer for instance, he was slapped with well over $15,000 in defense fee's and court cost's/ fines/ probation fee's, etc, but he never done a day of any time incarcerated on any of his conviction's, and this guy was an alcoholic pretty much who alwayz drove drunk putting himself and other's in danger. These are just 2 cases, to show the reality here in Texas ... I could recall many other cases that are similar

Understand that these folk's that create these law's and institution's dont give a rat's ass about cleaning up crime, making your middle class or poverty class neighbourhood safer, trying to reform or rehabilitate anyone, especially the youth, or frankly give a shit about the nation/ America, the youth, or the poor who get abused by this system ... their bottom line is one thing only, and that is to make a buck/ profit ONLY ... nothing else matter's. It's time to work on shutting them down and saving our nation a bundle in doing so ... and would even be nicer to incarcerate some of those racketeer's from Wall St, Washington and the private sector's in some of those institution's that they had built and used for so long for their racketeering ventures ... and make bet's on them (like at the fight's/ boxing or horse races) on how well they can survive in the real world ... the world that they throw some of these young kid's into that doesnt rehabilitate the kid or do anything of any value, a system more negative and abusive than anything positive for a kid in many cases. It is time again (like during the Great Depression or the late 1960's, when thing's also got out of control in the last century) to reform, revitalize and reinforce our democracy and system, and the people of this nation to lobby for a change, and importantely in our communities, not just Washington. To really get where we need to be, we need to put our money not offshore as much in war's/ occupation's, building more prison's or whatever, but invest in our American public institution's, school's, and community rehabilitation programmes, drug issue intervention and treatment center's and education of such ... not giving more billion's and billion's in corporate welfare so they can squander, rip- off and take this nation further into the ground than they already have ... especially locking down our children.

THAT is the Reality ... Word Out ....

LGBT Rights 2014/ HOLMES- PHARISS- DE LEON & DIMETMAN: Texas' UNofficial LAW- "FIRM" on Justice & Equality ... The "Judiciary Roleplay" Edition ... (PUBLIC PATRIOT'S PT.33)

http://therivardreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/same-sex-marriage-courthouse_randy-bear.jpg

(left to right) Victor Holmes, Mark Phariss, Cleopatra De Leon, & Nicole Dimetman

Part 33 of the "Public Patriots" series will be to highlight the case back in February over ruling the ban on same sex marriage in Texas unconstitutional by Judge Garcia in San Antonio, which was a sort of 21st century battle at the Alamo calling this time for judiciary roleplay to get involved. But this posting mainly is to honour Victor Holmes, Mark Phariss, Cleopatra De Leon & Nicole Dimetman as public patriot's for taking this to the challenge and all those who stood behind them ... and congratulation's on this first round too, and for standing up for the rights of Texans!

And I want to add, that I dont have some fetish for writing about marriage or wedding's at all, to me they are boring, whether it's gay or straight marriages or the joining of cat's or dog's in matrimony, I could give a shit less one way or the other, nor has it ever bothered me or offended me in any way what other couples sexual practices are ... it simply dont matter to me. My wife and I been together for over 30 year's (even before we were officially married), we would be together whether anyone approved it or not, plain and simple. This posting is about basic rights for ALL citizen's, "marriage" has alot of legal odd's & end's that come with it, as well as financial advantages (and sometimes disadvantages), custody and property rights, taxation status, etc, etc ... all falling under the umbrella in our nation of state recognized "marriage" for it's citizen's ... again ... this is simply a matter of FULL rights and EQUAL rights, it hasnt a thing to do with our opinion's as far as same sex marriage and what we may feel about it.

But it's really sad that still another freedom and right has to be fought for this late in the 21st century, and still is a national battle, it's almost endless, when you get my age and hear constantly for decade after decade that were ALL free, liberated, equal, and understanding ... yet decade after decade this endless battle over and over and over and over because of politics, institutionalized religion's, cultures, or whatever of still having to battle just for basic rights ... it's actually sickening, boring and hypocritical. And basically many politician's who get paid decent salaries BY US, claim they represent the people and their interest's, yet pussy- foot and dance around these issues for political reason's ... and this posting is nearly 5 years back , this is the best we got by now in 2014 from our political representation? But still it's the people that have to fight them (politicians) ... what a bloody contradiction, eh?

Mark Phariss and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott (Greg is running for Governor as well, and he sure as Hell wont get my vote) have even been friend's since college kid's, Mark ran to his side when Greg got injured and paralyzed, which is a true friend, yet Greg wants to challenge his friend in court on equal rights for his friend and fellow Texan's? ... I dont think I will ever understand that way of thinking ... and Thank goodness I cant. Ms. De Leon and Mr. Holmes are both Air Force veteran's as well ... these are fellow Texan's who came up to serve and defend our nation and state ... and these folk's have to actually fight here at home for the right to be equal? ... our veteran's? ... that's not only a state of Texas disgrace, but a national disgrace! It's just a matter of time and this will be all over, and need's to be, and get on with marriage equality as a basic right ... more below.

Word Out ....

***** TWC NEWS/ AUSTIN: (added 29 july 2014) LGBT Families Try to Deliver Petition Seeking Marriage Equality ... the children of gay/ lesbian couples in Texas yesterday tried hand- delivering thousand's of petition's they carried in kid's hand pulled wagon's to the Attorney General's office ... they were declined and not accepted to be delivered, the office said they dont accept anything that is "hand- delivered". Now ... I see that as a lie, although they can say due to terror threat's and increased security measures, they may enforce that rule. I see it as a "snowjob" or "half truth", because all day long these and other offices get hand delivered packages/ envelopes through private/ contracted courier's, which is common ... I mean ... they know what these children were delivering, they got the head's up, even mainstream media's were there covering it.
