Choosing a Career and Trade College .... and Avoiding new Employer health care scam's ....

What brought me to this posting is a couple people in particular ....one ... a neighbor named Rick ...who is a 50 year old gentleman and very experienced truck driver, currently driving for a local company around the Metroplex area. And the second person I dont want to mention her name here for a couple reason's, although she didnt care if I did .... but she is in one of them job's that are easy to lose, and be replaced, she is a clerk at a neighborhood small business, but she is currently looking to get into a trade college at 22 year's old to try to get something earning a little more than $9.00 buck's an hour, she has high school diploma, just no further. I have looked at some of the literature and such a couple school's gave her and watched their video presentation on getting you into a great career. Also Rick and this lady are not connected.... and have a large age gap, nor know each other ... but also both are getting scammed by employer's with new health care rule's that are manufactured by the employer's, which I will explain later.

This gal was considering a career as a video camera technician ... you know ... like the one's in the news studio's, and these college's have some very attractive brochure's, commercial's, and video disk they even give you ... and plenty of financial assistance expert's to write up your loan app's for you to submit to the government and affiliated financial institution's for student loan's. All they ask you for is your signature .... sound's great ...heh? Well ....it is .... but like everything else ... look at all side's and option's. Choosing a career school and career that you may intend to get into for the next 30 year's or so should take some close viewing. I listened to her story ... then asked her if I could borrow her disk and brochure to take a look at it, her dad died when she was small ... her mom let's just say ... has problem's and isnt doing well .... and she has a roomate she share's rent with who is on the go.

But just out of the clear blue sky, even though she never thought about this camera career, she was quick to buy .... it looked exciting ...you know ... behind the scene's in the studio etc ...and the video you see ... will make you feel like your on your way to being a producer and meeting all the tele personalities. Important to look at these career's closely and demand for position's etc, and like anything else in life ... there's a certain amount of gamble to anything. These graphic art's college's as well ... I of course was in this business year's ago, didnt have any college in it ... but took interest and used my free time to watch, observe, and learn ... then got in as an eager trainee .... a few year's later ... I was running the shop ... yet I only formally had an 8th grade education, and took one of them GED exam's.... barely passed and the rest is history. I "chose" this though ... without no coaching. In this time .. that skill I once had, has became obsolete, there is no more graphic film of splicing or screen matching for color seperation's, and even no need for pre-press department's, or even graphic artist's are in lesser demand ... why? Because technologies has made it to where the customer, can design with little or no experinece their own art at home .... send it electronically to a printer ... bypass all pre press , even plate for that matter ... and a computer and robotic's inscribes the job onto a reusable plate even (even the plate industry got hit as well as the film)etching it with a laser .... the ink's are electronically fed even for the press operator ... and soon they will make them obsolete as well, replaced with all robotic's ... and presto ... you have your product ready for the customer. Yet these graphic art's trade college's are coming out of the woodwork in abundance and advertising an exciting career .... Hell .... by the time your done with college ... you better hope there is a career. I am not saying that these school's are not good ... what I am saying is you should look closely at what career you choose.... they will push you into anything if they figure they can get a loan app through on you.

As I pointed out to this young lady, the news room's for instance at some downtown studio's that even use non human camera personel.... yes... robotic camera's, right now in 2010 ... from the brochure I seen and all the excited young tech's in the studio's in their video ... I think they need to revise their sales pitch let's say. On the other hand ... take nursing ... especially RN or LVN (Registered or Liscensed Vocational) .... this demand is growing even with new technologies that help nurses do alot of the monitoring, there is a good demand in this field .... but it may not be as pleasant seeing sick folk's over tele personalities, but better chance's of not ending up in the unemployment line's (Yes, I realize that unemployment in Texas is done online now to, instead of in physical person, I am just using for example) with $10K to $30K in debt or more before your even 25 year's old .... and getting mark's against your credit rating if your ever late on your pay off. My daughter in a nearby Dallas suburb and her husband do fairly well in that part of the medical industry ... they live comfortable, and never worried about their career's all through this last recession. Dont be so quick to buy these career's without taking a serious long term look at the industry and where it is going, despite how pretty the video's look or the person coaching you for these school's. This is a big business .... and alot of young American's I have met and known wish they would have looked at other career's or option's, take your time .... your not old yet .... you have a few year's ... give some serious thought is all I am saying.

Another thing I want to point out which involve's this lady and Rick both, as well as a few other's I have talked to that recently had their HMO's dropped in the last few month's. Both of these folk's have told me that their employer's have offered them new plan's ( so called health care provider's), with drastic variation's in plan's and deductible rate's and such. Rick said he was almost pushed into a rush choice to sign on insurance change's in coverage ... and his boss simply went online to get the info he gave Rick ... saying it's all online of the change's. Well ....Rick dont have a computer, or know nothing much about computer's ... and is never online for that matter. Like I told Rick the other day ..."Hold it right there Guy ...." ....NO .... there isnt any damn thing officiated in the health care reform .... they dont even have the new bill complete! He said his boss got the change's online, etc,etc. I dont give a shit if he got them from God via the Holy Spirit Messenger .... there is NOTHING that has changed YET or officiated ... do NOT sign a damn thing .... until you see actual brochure's, from the companies, or through an official news source ... I mean ... these day's you can go online and find any damn thing you want it to say or believe! And the shit will look professional and official .... Hell ... I get email probably once every couple month's telling me I won the lottery in some foreign land and am now a millionaire ... and it look's solid! And the change's in premium's and deductible's and other crap they both told me were insane! Like being robbed with an affidavit instead of at gunpoint! NOTHING YET HAS BEEN PUT INTO LAW ... and what you are seeing is companies pulling scam's before this is officiated to get you to lock into something they may not be able to later.

JOY BEHAR: Investigate's the scientific "G-Spot" theory ....

First of all let me point out that I dont know a thing about this .... so therefore like on most scientific studies of sexuality, or just about anything else scientific ... I cant have much comment ... and just leave it to the "expert's" and try to pick up a lil education along the way.

But reason for posting this is simply because I have alway's loved Joy Behar, I mean she is just one of them folk's that have a way of tickling my funny bone .... by the way .... now I wonder if science has evidence of the "funny bone"? Alot of time's when she is serious and frank .... she just make's me laugh .... and I thought this was funny ... so I had to post it.

DALLAS COWBOYS .... 2009 NFC EAST CHAMPIONS: .... Shut out Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles .... back to back ....

First of all .... a BIG CONGRATULATION'S to the Cowboys on their "2009 NFC East Champions" title. I would imagine this is also a record breaker for the Cowboys(?) I dont recall even in some of their glory year's of past 2 back to back shut out's on the road and home of two division rival opponent's either .... and no time to rest .... because the first wild card play-off game will be here in Dallas saturday Dec.09,2009 and Cowboys will host Philly.

Let's not jump the gun though ... I mean I already seen all kind's of posting's online about this .... even a Seattle News piece predicting Cowboys to go to the Superbowl .... against the Indianapolis Colts? Of coarse I would love that since Cowboys and the Colts are my two favourite team's!! But to go that far ....Cowboy's will have to win the next 3 play-off round's .... not saying they cant ... I am saying it is difficult ... especially after coming off such big back to back win's.

Let me also add that Philadelphia is going to be mad as Hell and fired up like big dawg's this coming saturday ....Why? Because Dallas basically manhandled both Philly and Washington at home with these shut out's ... and beating them like red headed step children ....holding them to "0" point's, an embarrassment! .... bet your asses ... that Philly is going to come out hungry and angry! Good Luck to the Cowboys and hope they win......

WORLD WAR PART 5: LOYALTY and DEVOTION .... You know a man has both .... when he strap's EXPLOSIVE'S to his BALL'S ....

First of all .... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I will not say it will be a good year or a bad year ... of coarse the reason why is because what is good to one may be bad to another as I had to explain to a gentleman the other day here in Dallas .... so let me just say .... it should be an exciting year with some fun for everyone, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh. And now that that's out of the way .... let me get to business here.

Part 5 of this journal's World War series is to point out loyalty and devotion .... which is something many of us in the west lack ....and to show the diversity of this jihad movement .... I reckon I can say their an equal opportunity recruiter, heh? Part 1 of this series was posted July 30,2008 about the Iraq War and war's to come. Part 2 was posted Nov.04,2009 concerning consideration's/ assessment's and reason/ purpose. Part 3 was posted Nov.05,2009 looking at weapon's and complication factor's, political correctness, etc. And Part 4 posted Nov. 20, 2009 is another look at why terror and sabotage work, knowing our boundaries and hostage taking. And one may say that this is not officially world war. I dont use buzz phrases and cliche's and other BS to officiate or not officiate any damn thing, or declare thing's good and evil ...I look at "action/ reaction" ..... "cause/ effect". As I have posted since the beginning of this journal .... what is different about this war than our past war's will be an enemy who doesnt give a rat's ass about crap like the Geneva Convention or any of our nonsensical term's of engagement for war .... nor are they territorial ... which all combined.... should make this ....let's say ... unique.





Let me go back to these earlier posting's to point out again the reason why it is easier than we may think to recruit, and also why the diversity of it's alliance. Take area's like Nigeria in the above video ... our western capitalism has done business in this region for year's ... and paid out some handsome amount's of money to them and other leader's of nation's. However ... that money doesnt see the people of the nation's it's in... and people see what I call the "Other Side of Capitalism", let's just say the side that set's the gap between the "have's" and the "have not's", which is something many American's havent had much experience with, but will see this gap widen here in America sharply within the next several year's, if we fail to address what we need to address, and keep covering it over with nonsense talk and supporting the same deadwood that create's and dictate's this cesspool. But as people work harder and try more and see it get's them nowhere's because of those who dictate ... they will resort to jihad, revolution, etc. Then you have those like in the first video above Mr.Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a mild mannered handsome young man with a promising future, not suffering oppression, great education, and prominant family association, etc. Somewhat similar to Osama bin Laden actually ... also western educated, money, etc. Their reason is different, for they see the other side of capitalism and our culture ... and how it has corrupted their culture with it's infiltration, and of course add the religious overtone's ... and your recipe is complete .... because what we dont see, is that to many .... religion is a culture as well for many. And since we all love honesty .... Christian's have a past record of persecuting Muslim's since centuries ago.

I have been pointing out the problem's in Pakistan for almost a decade, after the Fudamentalist's took over the Pakistani School System easily, from a financially deficient government funding failure to do so, despite their western support .... and recently because both Pakistan and even Afghanistan want these fundamentalist's as part of their new reformed government's as well, which mean's that our money, live's and effort's if this indeed become's reality ... will almost be as good as pissing in the wind, replacing one oppressor with another basically. As we know ... this last week as well the US Embassy as well as the Brit's closed up in Yemen because of the terror group's there ... another country where large western companies like Placid and Hunt Oil way back in the 1980's done so much petro exploration and work ... yet again ... a country with people slowly deteriorating from poverty. We also see the crisis now in Somalia, we also see now after year's of war in Iraq and executing it's senior citizen dictator Mr.Evil himself Saddam Hussein, how many Iraqi's today line the street's for day labour because the western contractor's who run the show now .... bring in foreign worker's who will even work cheaper than Iraqi's ... something they were unable to do under Mr.Evil's rule. We see now the conflict in Iran ... who's people are so oppressed that they consider the Quran as freedom over their conservative leadership. I can go on .... but you see why I also call this "world war" and non territorial ... because it jump's all over the place ... and will even more so to come.

I must say that I admire the devotion and loyalty of the opposition ... and understand their grievance's even .... just like when I supported Rev.Jeremiah Wright when he pointed out our interference in these nation's and people that strike out at us with terror. The bottom line is this ... as the 5 American's in Pakistani custody for terror affiliation's said the other day .... they are not "terrorist's" they are "jihadist's" .... which I also will point out as to why I say, what is evil or wrong to one .... may be good or right to another, as I pointed out to a man the other day in Dallas who said what these corporate interest's are doing to American's is wrong .... I told him .... "but to the corporate folk's, it's right". We have made our bed .... most American's did not realize what our leadership was doing or those who dictate them and our world ... we were simply living our lives and buying what we were taught and told. But I never agreed with our nosing around in other countries affair's .... ever. I opposed the re- establishment of the State of Israel to it's ancient location ... because map's and territories change over the centuries, after all .... we dont let American Indian's dictate what this nation can or cannot do .... we let those who took it over do that in the 21st century. Or we would just go ahead and redraw all the world map's and re- establish all the older territories and regime's as were ... including Nazi Germany. Again ... this is all about control, religion, and money. But unfortunately ... it is only the people that suffer from these action's ... not those who create the mess .... if they did ... you would certainly have less of a mess .... and they .... less capital and power, you see.

We also need to understand this is "war" .... and we will not be able to just sweep this under the rug with fancy cliche's and speeches and false hope or any other nonsense as usual. Many are disgusted with what our side has done in the world ... they feel the hurt, and frankly will devote themselve's to their cause without concern for our word's or political correctness or excuses and false promises. So .... we need to do our job's as well .... and try to show especially a little more respect for other's territories before we just mozy on in and start telling everyone about how grand we are and our way's, and why they should love us and be like us .... and just welcome us with open arm's over our occupation of their nation's and people's.

POST NOTE: And dont count on this frail representation of our's on the Hill to even speak of what is on their mind's and their water cooler chat, because this year .... rest assured will be more "BS" than last year. Why? because mid term election's, so just about everyone is going to be full of shit and rolling lie's off their tongue's like an assembly line. The fact of the matter is .... many are brewing a sales pitch as I write this for a "war tax" .... including some kind of draft .... and even proposing to hire more contract military service's via our tax dollar's to protect corporate interest's in these rat trap's that we got stuck in .... their fee's are over twice the amount of our own military at that ... and it's our tax dollar's .... and contract militia's are in for the "terror jackpot" as far as new contract's for new business. Not to even mention the wide array of other BS our rep's will have to create this year to get support in mid term's from voter's trying to explain to the voter's why this and that happened and who's fault anything or everything is.

I wanted to post a song/ video in this journal, I felt is appropriate to represent and close out the year of 2009 .... and chose to post a song from an old buddy of our's Mark Griffin from Dallas. Even though this came out 20 year's ago this year (1989), being off Mark's debut album/cd called "HELL WITH THE LID OFF" ... I see it also fitting as a song that I feel represent's 2009 very well in my view. This song is called "TRUTH IS OUT OF STYLE" Enjoy .... and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!



And the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex New Year's Eve weather forecast is ...... look's like great party weather as well, for that Dallas New Year's Eve outdoor party at Victory Plaza .... and remember, if you want to get shitfaced (drunk) you can alway's hop the train at the Victory Station to avoid driving.

Chimp Tip's: For those going to DNYE at Victory Park .... Keep your Blackberry's, card's and cash somewhere's beside's your pocket's or handbag's ... my daughter and friend's for instance last year went, and her girlfriend got robbed by pick pocket ... and I am sure there was many more. No#2 .... depending on what part of the Metroplex you live in ....between 11:45pm and 12:15am try to get under some cover or roof ... especially if you are in a heavy latino immigrant community, you know the custom of shooting gun's in the air at that time ... those bullet's must come down somewhere's.

JASPER SCHURINGA: Hero of 2009 .... and .... aL-Qaeda is doing their JOB .... I suggest we DO OUR'S ....

First of all I wanted to add this to this journal while it is still fresh with this first interview of this true HERO from Amsterdam .... Mr.Jasper Schuringa .... who to him ...it was nothing but instinct and reaction. Well Sir ...your instinct's not only saved the asses of those passenger's who were on the flight, but probably even some on the ground ...since it was planned to go off right before landing, so that ground witnesses would have witnessed it without question as to what it was...and the debris and fuel could have caused extended ground and possibly civilian damage.



Mr.Schuringa .... all I can say is ....you done one Hell of a job Sir!

Now I realize that some who may have read some of my previous statement's on HS Secretary Napolitano may feel that I am just out to attack her. What I said previously about her had to do with border security, especially Texas. As I write this we have a bloodbath drug war going on, on the TexMex border, and her strategy on that month's ago was silly and done nothing ... I heard the other day that there has been more murder's on our border in the last year than troop casualties of both Iraq and Afghanistan war's combined. This is NOT a personal attack on the Secetary at all ...I just like to see folk's get their job's done ...and their head's straight is all.

But let me be frank here since we all love honesty ...heh? How in Hell did this woman get chosen to run our goddamn national security center?!! I mean ... this had to be some pop culture political correctness crap, I see no other way ... she was an Attorney General of Arizona and said she was qualified because she prosecuted people selling dope or such on their border ...Huuuuhh? C'mon ...goddamn, give me a break!! I mean .... I can see her selling anti wrinkle skin cream or Chia Pet's on some middle of the night infomercial or Home Shopping Network ... sure. But goddamn ... were talking about the security of our nation .... this is a Hell of a time to be fashionable!! For Pete's sake ...replace this woman. They said she was tough .... tough on what exactly? So far she was opposed to fencing the border ... wanted to distribute billion's and arsenal's to Mexico (and has) for Mexican authorities to fight with ...where I posted that a large portion of them arm's will get into the hand's of the cartel's ... and thinking they wouldnt is naive .... I know how Mexico operate's ... especially when it come's to illegal contraband running from drug's to arm's to human's to sex slave's ... tell that rubbish to some jackass. The government is corrupt as well as the law enforcement, politician's, to the federales in Mexico. She was also opposed to American's protecting their land on our side of the border and a number of other important issue's.

There were red flag's from here to sundown all over this terror suspect, even the suspect's father warned that his son was a danger .... this suspect and his profile stood out and was in plain sight. Many say that we need to show sensitivity to these foreigner's and folk's of islamic faith ... and that picking out these people is picking on them they feel. This is a matter of saving people from terror who travel as well. As I have said time and again throughout this journal ...this terror will NOT end ... and these group's like aL Qaeda have a job to do ... and I must give credit where credit is due .... their doing their goddamn job ... I would suggest that we do our's!

People been whining today about delay's in our nation's airport's ... folk's are opposed to the xray scan type system's that can see through their clothing because it invade's their privacy..... they feel uneasy about bomb sniffing dog's at the airport's ... plus there is a lack of them dog's to begin with. To be frank ... I personally wouldnt give a damn if they needed to look up my ass ... for those who feel uncomfortable about it ....get the Hell over it ...or take a goddamn bus or train or boat! A screener who has to see a thousand or more bodies per day pass through could give a shit less about your ass, tit's or dick's! As far as dog's are concerned ....look at them like the dog's you hug and kiss in your home's day in and day out for Pete's sake! My daughter has a job that require's occassional flight's out of the country for instance...and many of us have familia who is in the same situation or friend's. Are you more concerned with being fashionable, politically correct and polite ... or with the security of you, your friend's, and familia?

For the music sector of this journal .... It is my obligation and show of respect to post this hard working group of artist's who have really grown and were a cornerstone of the post modern industrial rock sound. They have put together so many fine piece's of work ...I wouldnt know where to start, but just selected a couple of my favourite's here. At the invitation of band member's in the early 1990's, I and my buddy Greg(RIP), spent time with the group after a concert tour here in Dallas aboard their tour bus, which was really nice ...a large style coach bus, with all the accomodation's of an apartment ...on wheel's you can say .... over some drink's and small chat in the wee pre-dawn hour's. They were a very politically aware group and very interesting to say the least....and most friendly and warm as anyone I have ever met ...sincerly.

For the record .... KMFDM formed in Germany back in 1984 .... and early in their movement relocated to Seattle,WA USA. Their music and message is strongly politically influenced. They have a wide range of style's that they have worked with as well over the year's .... which I will post these two particular piece's to display that.
