Marshall Mathers ... aka "Eminem" **** EMINEM.COM
This induction into this journal's music/ arts honour roll society is to sample, highlight and honour some of the new work from Mr. Marshall Mathers, aka "Eminem" and the release of his latest LP to come out next month. This LP is an outstanding piece of work and should be another commercial success in my opinion, and of course having folk's behind the production like Dr.Dre and the iconic genius and founder of Def Jam Rick Rubin who has worked with the best of the best in every contemporary genre of the industry ... you cant expect less when engineering this iconic musician's work. The sampling selection's engineering as well make's it unique incorporating a multi genre sub taste with hard hitting excellent rap/ vox and traditional HipHop, yet smooth as silk to where it takes you home, and really some excellent rap/ vox especially on "Rap God".
But Eminem as a man is truely an impressive success story because of the accomplishment's he has had from producing to directing to obtaining a Grammy to those icon's and independent's that he has worked with and his talent's in such and even as a lyricist/ musician ... truely "elite" in his field in my opinion. Like myself and many other's, this guy came from basically the trenches and had one of them mixed up unconventional childhood's in such defeating many obstacles, but I will let the Wikipedia link handle most of that.
